People always talk about how bad Castro was, but nobody talks about the guy who came before him. Batista was awful; I am not saying this means Castro was good, but tyrants like Batista always pave the way for a communist usurpation of power. There is a reason why every tyrannical monarchy in Europe that ruled with an iron fist is gone now, while monarchies that liberalized earlier still exist to this day and are still respected
History slowly moves towards liberalism over time.
