Whoever initiates the divorce should automatically forfeit all their rights to marital assets, including anything earned during the marriage. The only exception is if cheating can be proved in which case the cheating spouse has forfeited all their marital property rights. If both spouses have cheated then it goes back to whichever spouce initiated the divorce loses all of their marital property rights.This simple change will make the divorce process much more simple and less costly.It will also drastically cut down on the sheer number of divorces.

>>541635504No you should only split the property and assets you got during the marriage, if you had 2 houses and 3 cars before you met your wife, you keep them after divorce in all cases, if you built a house together you split by contribution, what I described is the law here
>>541636416You are lucky in the US I guess, I don't know the laws there, but here, there is marriage by proximity, if you live with your girlfriend in the same place for a couple of years, you are considered married even if you didn't sign any legal contracts
