What are the conditions required for America to break into civil war (again) or break apart into political, racial, ethnic or sectarian lines?
I don't think a civil war like the original one will happen anytime soon because the major dividing lines in the country do not respect state boundaries. The major division culturally and economically is between rural and urban.
