It also won't master most jobs because it needs a computer science to feed it data, but they don't know how to do much beyond computer stuff, so the data they feed it will probably be questionable. Training it online is just going to make it retarded(case in point - reddit).I've also notice AI getting worse these last 6 or so months. It's a combination of what I mentioned above and them having to scale back because it's bleeding them money. Most people were just using it to make porn. Then they stopped that, and now most people don't use it. So in order to make money, they started using the crack head business model. They give you a lot of tokens at first to make you dependent on it. Then they gut the tokens and offer you a new higher tier, for significantly more money(to get same token usage). Then they gut that and release things like super grok heavy for $300 a month. I doubt it's working though, because most people can't afford to spend money like that. They're basically trying to make you pay to train their models.I think it's a giant propped up bubble that will burst. It was the jews last hail mary to contain the goyim.

Basically he’s convinced that AI will have “weird preferences” that may not make sense because there may be no objective reason for them other than random chance; he uses peacocks and their evolutionary spiral around fancy tails as an allegory. He’s worried AIs may want to do stuff that has no reason and will therefore not be trustworthy for us to allow them to run our societies. Not sure how seriously I take the argument. I run local models and it’s a lot of fun. I think super intelligence is actually coming and that it’s going to open a lot of eyes. If you want a sneak peak go look at the Talaas demo- when we have 16k tokens per second it’s going to feel like going from the BBS dialup era to the modern internet in terms of experience. Right now you ask AI and you wait; that will end within a decade. The lack of wait means a ton more reasoning can be put into every experience, delivering amazingly better results. It will become indispensable for most people, which concerns me, but I don’t see a game theoretical way off the treadmill anymore; there is no mechanism of international cooperation that would enable a moratorium on development. Just like nukes and MAD we all have to keep up.
