America is finally banning all lithography sales to China and also banning ASML from doing maintenance on the ones china already has. This will completely shut down China's semiconductor industry. DUV lithography machines need constant maintenance, or they will shut down within weeks. Without any new machines and with their existing DUV machines useless due to lack of maintenance, we will see total collapse of China's semiconductor industry within months. By next year, China will no longer be able to make chips smaller than 90nm, 20 years behind the cutting edge. And china is still decades away from domestic DUV or even EUV lithography.
