i work in an icecream shop but i want be an artist
It's a hard life being an artist and realizing that nobody appreciates art and nobody wants to pay for art and if you are an artist you will die penniless and alone. Even the greatest artists died homeless in mental asylums with STD's because nobody respects an artist. People like to see art but they hate that someone more talented than them has to make it. It makes them seethe with jealousy. Also they hate beauty because they are ugly kikes. So they can't tolerate a white artist making great white art about white beauty standards. They have to flood us with niggers and nigger rap music so that we can't have white culture. Because they hate us.
>>541691390What's stopping you from doing art AFTER your shift at the icecream shop? nothing but your own self made mental cage.
>>541691390>The ice cream shop enslaves me and keeps me there for 18 hours at a time 7 days a week. I couldnt possibly do anything with the off time aside from die and whine.
>>541691390>meme flagmight as well sell your ass while being an artist
>>541691390The only successful artists are the ones who make political propaganda for the Jews. Make your art but understand that it's not a way to make a living unless you are a self promoting whore who can shill whatever flavor of the week Jews are pushing.
I used to be an ice cream tester at a lab
>>541691390>>541691724Retail jobs are pretty good for being a starving artist, work's low intensity and tends to give you plenty of time/energy for side projects. Also not so much money that you can do anything except your art. Vacation? Nah, no money for that, so another weekend inside painting.Pretty much all the arts are apex industries, there's maybe 50 guys in the whole country who make a living at any particular one and the rest are doing it as a hobby.
>>541691390How does that limit you in anyway from making art?
>>541691390see if you can pay the bills with thatNo one buys painting anymore. ai replacing more and more artist these daysso media wont hire youits just a nice hobby now.
>>541691390Working in an ice cream shop won’t keep you from being an artist. No reason you can’t do both
>>541691942
This is also why people laugh at you when you get a degree in the arts. It's not a real degree. It's a fake degree for losers who will never have a job. Unless you are a woman or a nigger, then maybe some DEI HR whore will hire you to fill a quota.
>>541691724maybe he can paint beaner murals on the sides of buildings
>>541691390Why do you ask a question if you’re gonna answer it yourself?Nigger
>>541691981>>541691988but how would you create anything with a crushed soul? especially when it's crushed to the point you doubt it's even there anymore
>>541692053I actually work at a museum, this fucker sells each of this painting for $5000+ usd each, you could easily make them for under $30-50 and have spare paint to make more. Painting is a cheap as fuck hobby and richfags love buying this crap. Just make nigger butts or something and call it trauma release.
>>541692113Put your despair on the canvas.
>>541691828This.
>>541691390Making „art“ is for children. Grow up man.Be a useful member of society.
>>541691390I see, the ice cream shop is a metaphor for heterosexuality, and being an artist is homosexuality. No one cares if you are gay.
>>541692049Arts degrees are still degrees and they show the graduate can do higher level work and stay committed for years. You act like arts students aren't required to take college math and science. Arts degrees should get jobs before high school graduates and drop outs. Lets not for get that loads of STEM students are absolute idiots.
>>541692821The competition for the few art jobs was already extremely intense, but now that AI exists, it's just over for artists. Nobody will ever pay an artist again. It's OVER. Start considering a different career now.
>>541692047>Smack smack smack smack>Cover all 9,000 taste buds >Smack smack smack smack>Aerate it>Smack smack smack smack>Warm it up>Smack smack smack smack>Drive it up>Smack smack smack smack>That top note>Smack smack smack smack>That cream>Smack smack smack smack>Pure vanilla >Smack smack smack smack>Sweetness>Smack smack smack smack>Mmm>Smack smack smack smack>That's a 10>Smack smack smack smack
>>541691390>Why am I sadYou were forced by your parents to reject everything that had meaning at the alter of freedomFreedom from what?Everything.Tradition. Family. Responsibility. Action. Now you are lost in an unfamiliar world. There is nowhere to ground yourself and nothing to guide you.If you weren't sad, then I'd be worried.
>>541691390You can still be an artist, all you have to do is make art. If you're saying you want to pay your bills by making art, do you really? Do you want what you love doing to become a job you have to do to please others and suit their tastes? Then you can find some niche like whale murals or happy little cottages with flowers and just crank those out, I guess. Even graphic design as a job burns people out. When a client wants to bitch about a shade of blue when it's something where it really doesn't matter if it's one dark blue vs. a different dark blue...you end up spending a lot of time just massaging people for things that don't matter just to get paid. And no one will want to pay what your time is really worth. An ice cream shop sounds better than a lot of other options. It's probably better overall to find something tolerable that's not too exhausting and pays steady, adequate money, so you have the stability and energy to create your art with the rest of your time.
>>541691390Funny, I’m an artist and I want to work in an ice cream shop.
>>541691724This meme needs to die.>just wake up, spend an hour prepping for work, half an hour in transit to work, 9 hours at work (unpaid lunch), half an hour back from work, an hour of chores and dinner, then spend 3 hours working on your own shit before an hour of wind down for bed!>assuming you are an island with no other goals, obligations, or desiresCan it be done on paper? Just did! But what kind of art are you making when you’ve got an hour to warmup, an hour to doodle, and an hour to do exercises? What thoughts are you having throughout your day of labor that influence your proficiency? All mastery in all skills is developed through mental focus on the topic, and when your mind is on other things most hours of the day even those few hours you do get to practice are far less impactful than the same hours done by someone mentally invested and present in the task. You’ll fall asleep thinking about tomorrow’s labors and wake up thinking about them, knowing you spent your time asleep not working through art problems, but instead work problems. It is most absurd to talk about this with art as the goal, it’s bad enough when it’s something practical like learning a language or a painting technique, but art? You expect someone to make art, an expression of the mind rather than an application of it, when their mind is almost always applied to practical solutions? Again, this meme needs to die.
>>541692352Being an “artist” in the modern world is more about tireless self promotion than talent. I spent a little while attending an art school before I realized what a scam it was and dropped out to get a “safe” degree in business administration at a public school. The students who got the most attention and had the most promising futures were all trust fund babies who made “conceptual” garbage and barely knew how to sketch, they just had lots of money and could buy popularity and attention.
>>541694710The only kind of artistic career that a drudgery job might be good for would be writing.
>>541692352>Just be well connected and you too can sell your shit for 5k usd eachwow it was that easy all along
>>541692049A college education was supposed to produce a well-rounded thinker, not be a ticket or pipeline into a guaranteed job. One of the bad things they've done in the last 20-plus years is push the idea that you need college to get a job and that everyone can and should go to college. Really, many (most?) people currently in college shouldn't be there. And definitely many (most?) are not cut out for a college-level aducation. And many generic jobs do not require that much formal education anyway, that's just a lazy HR hurdle, and the whole college push is a moneymaking scam and a way of chaining young people in debt and a way of dumbing down academics. That said, a well-rounded society needs the arts and people who study the arts. We can't just be a society of bug people engineers, nor can we just all be writers and "content creators". The real problem is there are too many people going to college who shouldn't be there in the first place, and we don't need the truly bullshit degrees like gender studies. Also, the best cultural thinkers are people in the arts. And I don't mean people who like to stick "intersectionality" into every discussion to be vague while sounding collegiate. I immediately tune out anyone who uses that word, and now that I think about it, it always seems to be liberal women who use it.
>>541691390You can do both. Most artists have to have secondary jobs. Start by drawing cool art for a menu in the icecream shop. Remember one of the best artists norman rockwell did the coke advertisements.
Art sucks. It has no value at all. You'll never put food on the table with art. You'll never pay your rent with art. Being an artist is a fast-track to being a homeless drug addict. Just give up. Nobody will ever care about your imagination and nobody will ever pay you for anything.
>>541691390Convince your boss to let you do window art. It'll bring in customers, and you'll get to do art work while being paid.
>>541694710this is because the late 20th century has a weird idea about art at its peak - renaissance to victorian it used to be a full time job. at least a decade to learn the skills. one painting would take months, full time , intense concentration, sometimes several people working on it. very technically demanding. i went to one exhibition of old masters last year where they'd added some modern painting for dei context. it was weak as fuck in comparison. low effort because everyone was 'expressing themselves' just slapping down the paint ...
>>541691647It will always be funny to me how modern art trends exist as combination of a CIA Psyop and money laundering for drug cartels.
>>541695988Theres some artists who make more than google employees
>>541691981>50 guys in the whole country who make a living at any particular oneMaybe if you're only referring to artists that created entirely their own thing, published it, and became gorillionaires. Most artists making a living at it are working for an ad agency or some kind of marketing or doing storyboards for cartoons or some else where they're duplicating someone else's vision perfectly (it's the intellectual property of the studio and many artists are making depictions of it that you wouldn't know it's not all the same artist.) My point is plenty of artists can make a living at it. It's more like, very few are going to be able to get by on their own personal work.
>>541697738I saw new stuff everywhere and its indistinguishable from the stuff from 1800s
>>541692890>Nobody will ever pay an artist again. It's OVER. Start considering a different career now. That'sm shill talk. YouTube pays idiots big bucks to spread disinfo and lies. Consider Asmongold or Ritchie from Boston. There is more money in the arts than in STEM.
>>541691390Shit nig. I'm a fry-cook at a tex-mex joint and I want to be a celebrity musician. Same.
>>541701737Tried that. It didn't work. My videos get like 3 views and then get ignored forever.People hate artists and they want you to die. Nobody cares about art now that they can use AI to produce it for free. Why would anyone ever pay (you)? Sure Asmongold makes a million dollars but he's one man. What are the rest of us supposed to do?
>>541702082It takes years to get noticed or create a following sometimes. Asmongold is a sell out. >Nobody cares about art now that they can use AI to produce it for free. Not true and AI art mostly sucks.>What are the rest of us supposed to do?I guess we are supposed to starve.
>>541691390AI can do your art job (cheaper and better)But it cannot scoop icecream (yet)You made the right choice (for now)
>>541691830This anon is right. If you want to become an artist today you need to do exactly what the Jews want you to do.Even then, it was much better if you were a Jew yourself, because if you aren’t it’s going to be much more difficult if not impossible. At some point you’ll get a Jew on your path and he will stop you.
>>541703205The only way you can be successful nowadays is to betray all your ideals and aspirations and accept the Talmud as your spiritual guide
>>541703614All artists these days literally get fucked in the ass for fame.
