the upper end of the valley sitting below the steepest escarpment over the delaware river ridge and valley mtns sit to the westits part of the poconosits sort of lower middle class but set up for tourists I haven't stayed in that town just east stroudsburg which is the south end of the highest hillskinda run down and scammy, rather crowded for how rural it is, very pretty though and the delaware river and its tributaries are gorgeous, lots of nice waterfalls nearby and you can hike the escarpment but there's NO effort to make the overlooks safe so you can't get much of a view without going to some really narrow edges of cliffs with 200+ ft drops over the edge and if its a windy day its gonna be scaryits 2 hours away from nyc and all the people there so its kinda a tourist destination for them but was more so 50 years ago >>541711440what are your memories of it?
