Why is no one talking about this?
>>541712236Probably less icebergs in the tropics
because there's a shit ton of ice?
>>541712236Talk about what? The passage open ~3 months out of the year with unpredictable ice flows, shallow drafts etc?
>>541712236NW passage is a harrowing route that only the heaviest ice breakers can make only like 600 ships a year use it
>>541712365>>541712370Climate change is going to open it up.
just dig a canal from lake superior to seattle.

>>541712236Zoomoids are down syndrome by default
>>541712236QRD?
>>541712236flat earth bros... we won
>>541712236It gets talked about quite a bit. Russia has invested more heavily into icebreakers than the US. Even with icebreakers climate change is not sufficient to make it a safe and reliable route.
>>541712236We should just make a canal along the entire border.
>>541712236North Pole route is becoming more popular.
because they're just gonna get tuunbaq'd if they try itif you know, you know
>>541712427>just
>>541712236? what is there to say about it?
>>541712236People have been talking about it for hundreds of years anon. Are you retarded?
>>541712236The time and distance savings are much better going from Europe to Asia.>>541712577Russian has 8 NUCLEAR icebreakers, and plans to build more. I wonder if they know something that we don't.
>>541712236>Why is no one talking about this?>>541712292and whales!
>>541712236Better question: Why is no one correctly evaluating global trade as a massive fucking scam?
>>541712236New York gets all its stuff from the Gulf Ports anyway.
>>541712236>Tracing one warm line through a land so wide and savageTo make a north-west passage to the sea?
>>541712236Because it's useless. From Yokohama, it's 5,500 miles to Long Beach and that's an ice free route all year. The only reason you'd take the NW Passage is to get to the east coast of North America from the Pacific. But that's retarded since every country in North America has large ports on the Pacific coast.Far more important is the Northern Sea Route, which connects the Pacific with to Europe. You get to avoid congestion at Suez and save eons compared to the trip around the Cape of Good Hope. Shanghai to Rotterdam in ~9,500 miles. And the Russians actually have the breaker fleet to lead convoys through the early/late season, unlike the Canadians (who consider the NW passage internal waters) or Americans (who only have Healy and Polar Star as large ice breakers able to do escort in oceanic water)>>541712470TRACING ONE WARM LINETHROUGH A LAND SO WILD AND SAVAGE
>>541712236I've seen a documentary about the Northwest Passage, it does not end well
>>541712577They just cancelled their icebreaker order as they can't afford to carry on.
>>541713300Russia tried it with china already. China said fuck that and Russia cancelled the order. Now they have however many of their nuclear icebreakers that still work leftover with no use for them.
>>541712236Why do you think Trumps after Canada and Iceland? The climate change denial movement is funded by lobbyists who want the arctic to be free all year round.
If most of the world watch this video, we can start killing the niggers at the streets without the disapproval of the authorities. So, share this video.
>>541712236Because those islands trap the arctic ice and even 2 year old ice is too thick for ice breakers to get through. Plus in the event of an emergency, these are your first responders and they have like 1 deep water port still in the planning phase and there's no tank farms, engineers or dry docks to fix a broken boat.
