Predictably the stores often fuck up placing those hidden strips, and so half the carts are always wheel-locked and standing around useless in the worst spots on busy days until some storemook gets of his ass and unlocks them

In real (sand)nigger infested areas the carts have electronic brakes that engage when you try to move the cart too far from the stores premises (so basically off the parking lot).
