Games will soon look like real life

what a mess

i was waiting for him to push a button to make it look good and then he pushed one to make it look even worse? what

I hecki' love my stable diffusion filterino on my Vidya movies.

That's when I change my hobby.
Or stick to whatever game that keeps video games as video games, not real life 2.0

Nah

It doesn't matter how good they look when they are designed for morons and full of commie faggot propaganda.

Only if you have two 5090s, which will run you about $10,000 plus tip.
https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=rtx+5090
Oh and you'll need a beefy everything else too, plus RAM, so probably $15,000. Plus tip of course.
>>
>>541721918
Is it a good thing though
I like 2D animation and some early 3D as long as they keep it cartoonish
A lot of people seem to think the same, I wonder what's the actual ratio

at 2fps

I don't know, realistic games still feel weird to me, no matter how real. Visible polygons just looks better.

I remember back in the day playing Happy Wheels and feeling queasy when the characters would get shredded on an obstacle. If I had to see that IRL I think I would have nightmares.

No, I get 180 with mfg/fps cap

The leaked DLSS5 has been running on single 5090s, it's not like during the tech demo days.

GPUs will soon fully halucinate the games. at some point no two people will experience the same exact game even if it's the same game, it will have a unique path for each of us.
>>
>>541721918
Then people will stop playing them too lol
>>
>>541721918
why are they all bobbing their heads like jeets?
...oh
>>
>>541722794
making it look realistic shouldn't be the goal.

CoD on Wii:
- PHYSICALLY standing
- PHYSICALLY ducking and weaving
- PHYSICALLY sweating
- the Wii gun in my actual PHYSICAL hands

so kino.
so immersive.
perfect looking? guess not, but no one cared cuz it FELT realistic

It's not worth $2000 for gaming.

>NEURAL RENDERING
this is the funniest shit I ever saw in my geek life!

1/2

timeline refresher!
>be nvidia, GPU (((merchant)))
>locked in a never ending struggle for innovation against its arch nemesis in a cycle going back a quarter of a century
>AMD sometimes managed to reach almost 50% market share before being beat back
>fans obsess over pixels, resolutions, clear and accurate lines
>"finally we found something to really put them in their place"
>meet the RTX cards
>"our 2080, the flagship model can deliver real time raytracing folks! The future is here!"
>"okay, this time the new flagship, the 3090 can REALLY deliver real time RT"
>"did we say real time? Gais, this IS the future, you just need to turn down the resolution, scale it up with our upscalers and, er, we're sure RT games will soon flood the markets!"
>complex objects in motion look like dogshit on anything but the most powerful card coupled with top notch monitors
>"Look, it's not our fault 4090 owners still have only four of five games where RT is worth turning on. Believe us, we'd love to showcase something besides fucking SEVEN YEAR OLD cyberpunk"
>"yeah we know the 5090 is kinda expensive but at least you'll enjoy real time RT"
>"what do you mean you don't want RT? tech is costly, goy, you still gotta pay for these RT tensor cores even in entry level cards.I know prices are up 2-3x but this IS the future, dammit."

2027
>"what do you mean RT, you mean NEURAL RENDERING, right?"
>"I'm sorry to say but the entry level 7050 costs 900$ because neural talmood cores are expensive"
>"at least you can finally enjoy NT in real time, right goy?"

I'm literally laughing so hard right now.

Cards for RT and NR have to be build differently. It makes no sense to deliver both and since NR seems much more efficient, cards will ditch the stupid RT cores before long.
>Welcome to buggy, blurry, grainy NR era!

Turns out, all the geek ramblings and flame wars about accurate pixels were hot air as the GPUs render whatever messy noise they want and you will love it.
Because elite geeks and the press only use the top1% cards, 99% of users -just look at the steam statistics- will don't even come close to getting a somewhat accurate, crisp, good looking frame. The press only cares about potential outlier gfx. They will lie forever how good the new rtx generation is.
>"we finally get heckin' real time photon rendering for only 9000$, goys!"

This is so messed up and high IQ nerds turn out to be once more the stupidest cattle people who will buy and be excited over anything you tell them about.

>RTX 5090 ($4000+)
<1% users on steam
even the 4090 is below >1%.

The majority cannot really use RT or NT now or in the forseeable future.
The list of games really looking objectively better through RT is still very small. And contrary to what most poeple assume, RT is used sparringly, sometimes only for shit like shadow occlusion.

The whole thing is jewish as fuck because the average user has no idea his console got so much more expensive because in some games the gfx are arguably a little bit better while getting worse in other respects.
>like with blurriness
>like grain
>like deformed topology
>like aggressive light switching
>like unstable, jittery rendering
>like worse frametimes
>like heavy reliance on upscaling
>like heavy framerate drop
>like needing more RAM (guess what's also almost 3x as expensive, goy? MHEHEHEHE!)

Older console generations made hyuuuge leaps in terms of colours, fidelity, later 3d model complexity, then lighting and so forth.
But now we pay WAY more for...what?
A blurry mess.
And now with NR, technological progression of nearly 10 years can be almost thrown into the bin. There was no point to this except
>take shekel from goy pocket and drop it into nvidia pocket

BONUS QUESTION
https://www.calcalistech.com/ctechnews/article/b1rxuhmvzx
why does tech seem to expand so much into israel?
how does it makes sense given it's the only "western" country which can be shelled at any moment from multiple neighbours and routinely faces international backlash.
>I don't get it, it's a true mystery?!
