Linus from LTT dumps the heat from all his home servers into his pool water. but that's just a speculation for datacentersthey also need to be serviced once in a while, the cooling loops. cleaned.you have also a bunch of other uses for water in such facilities. cleaning and whatever else.but the power use and carbon emissions yeah those are pretty much real, no way to go around that, unless solar panels or some shit but they're not running those on solar lol
