Are the stories of how New Orleans turned into a post apocalyptic warzone in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina true, or is it mostly myth? We got organized and set up 24 hour watches, all of us working in shifts. One of the guys was an ex Navy Seal and here would occasionally go out scouting to get Intel. He got word that there was a group of about a dozen looters approaching on the only dry road into the neighborhood. So we got prepared and set up land mines. The looters were walking single file and the guy in front stepped directly on the landmine. BOOM! He completely ragdolled and flew 200 feet into the air, spinning like a Frisbee and did the Wilhelm scream. After about 15 seconds when the body finally landed it just exploded into giblets. We were all drenched in blood. As you would expect, the rest of the looters hightailed it out of there. I will never forget that day.
