Why do some people seethe about non-voters? Who gives a fuck if a few people don't bother choosing between any of the ghouls that are on offer?
>>
>boo hoo i'm so oppressed because i don't vote

The people who maintain the illusion can't just admit that voting doesn't matter. They have to shame the non voters. Same reason they shame "losers" , the poor, NEETs, etc = to give the people under their spell the illusion of being better, to keep them working for them and running on the treadmill, boosting GDP.

In fact, the hostility we can experience toward our withdrawal from this diseased society is, in fact, a pertinent feature of competitive societies themselves. The need to punish as a function of the totem pole social hierarchy.
Why does being alone seem to offend people?
Because a highly competitive society doesn't merely need you to produce. It needs you to participate in the competition. Win or lose. And it needs the "losers" to remain in the limelight as whipping boys, as bad examples that suffer continually and this give legitimacy to the competitive system. "This is what happens to those who don't play the game!" To make "winners" feel that their own sacrificed life has been well invested. "At least that's not me!"
Someone who says:
>I don't want to compete. I want a small room, enough food, some books, music, and nobody bothering me.
has done something ideologically inconvenient.
They haven't necessarily defeated the system. They haven't even necessarily rebelled against it.
They've declined its invitation.
And that can be more irritating than opposition.

Lines up with many other American maps.
>>

So how are you going to proceed when faith in democracy is entirely lost and the state descends into gang violence? Because that's where you're headed.
>>
>>541751360
A dissident can be incorporated into the system as an opponent: political activist, entrepreneur, artist, intellectual, revolutionary, etc. Those are all recognizable social roles. But the person who says “No, I would actually prefer to be alone” is difficult to turn into a productive participant (or marketable commodity).
& There's an even deeper problem: solitude exposes how much of “social necessity” is actually social pressure.
If everyone is working 50 hours a week, competing for status, optimizing their appearance, networking, maintaining an online presence, buying things, dating, advertising themselves, and anxiously monitoring everyone else, then the person sitting alone reading Victor Hugo can look almost subversive—not because he's attacking anyone, but because he's demonstrating that another allocation of human attention is possible.

Another lifestyle is possible.
And if enough people do it...
Another world.

Because if you don't like any of the available options, 'didn't vote' has the collective power to unseat both parties.
Refusing to use your vote and then still being upset at the direction that the country is going in just means you are a cuck that let themselves get psyop'd by the uniparty into not opposing the uniparty and letting them win anyway.
>>
>>541751072
not voting is the only effective vote against the uniparty
>>
>>541752066
> The Uniparty: Oh no, please don't withhold your vote! I'd really, really hate for you to leave me in power unopposed. Oh, gosh, that would be just TERRIBLE. Not doing anything to stop me is, god, just the WORST. You're killing me, look I can barely even breath under all of this money and power. If only I had tricked you into participating in democracy, I could have avoided this terrible fate!
>>
>>541751072
libtards get angrier at me for not voting than they do when I said I voted trump in 2016. it's like you committed blasphemy against their sacred rite
>>
>>541751072
Missery loves company. You have to suffer as they suffer through the demoralizing practices of voting.
>>
>>541752274
Because someone who voted Republican at least believes in something. "I hate both sides so I don't vote" is just saying that you dislike the situation but also won't do a single thing to change it.
>>
>>541752210
You are correct, they should be follwing up with refusing to pay taxes and ignoring all political/government shills entirely.

The false dichotomy of voting
>If you do vote it's your fault when the politician breaks all his campaign promises and makes your life worse
>If you don't vote, you could have maybe prevented all this by voting for the other guy, who would have done exactly the same life worsening bullshit
And don't say "just run yourself" because if the electronic Jew "news" hasn't annointed you a candidate, you're not even gonna win your own state.

Why would someone expect a solution to come from the broken system creating all of the problems?
>>
>>541751072
The dead get to complain
>>
>>541751072
The other way around. If you vote, it is you a mean by which you express your satisfaction and approval of the system.
The only credible way by which to express dissatisfaction is not to partake in it.

On a totally unrelated note: do you prefer to be raped by a Nigerian or a Senegalese?

>Why do some people seethe about non-voters?

because 10% turnout means 10% people decided who the next political leader is
>>
>>541752536
As opposed to voting for the puppet on the left or the puppet on the right. You're really changing things, anon!
>>
>>541752824
>people decide
Here yoz are wrong. Politicians get seleted. Not elected.
But i assume you are vaxxed as well. So why talking with you?
>>
>>541752824
Even worse than that, actually.
If there is 10% voter turnout, then that means that AT MOST 5.1% of the total population decide the next political leader for 100% of the people. The other 4.9% voted, but didn't what what they wanted either. So only 5% of the country is really happy with the outcome.

So vote for someone else, anon. Its that simple.
You're not understanding the situation. Most people are afraid to vote for a third party candidate because they are afraid of their vote being 'wasted' and letting the greater evil win, so they vote for the lesser evil.
But for someone who ALREADY wouldn't normally vote, its IMPOSSIBLE for their vote to be any more wasted than if they had done their original plan, which was nothing. They can vote for any third party candidate they want, and there are enough non-voters that it is entirely possible that a third party would win as a result of their action at least on the state and congressional level.
Every seat in government, no matter how small, that is held by a third party candidate weakens the grip of the uniparty as a whole. The more that grip weakens, the less able the uniparty is to pretend that they are the only game in town.
American history shows that even a relative small number of congressional wins by third parties can domino into massive political change because they create new power blocks that force the larger parties to make concessions to get things passed. Its happened before and it can happen again.
But only if you don't sit on your ass and accept the slop that is served to you because you fell for the demoralization propaganda.
>>
>>541752066
based. George Carlin said the same thing. However I think he might be wrong. Inaction is the only reason the Uniparty exists. Im not saying voting is the answer either. Just that not voting doesn't stop them either. If we all collectively removed them from power ( either through voting or some other way ) that would be useful...
>>
>>541751072
correction: if you don't do a military coup you can't complain

Voting is you giving consent to people you know are evil to do evil things in your name absolving them of the karmic debt.
>>
>>541751072

>>
>>541751072
the reason i always hear is the same: voting is always a vote against [insert current enemy here]. over here, people always say, “just vote for anyone because it’s a vote against the right.” to be honest, i’m not interested in normies, and i haven’t voted in 17 years.
>>
>>541751072
If a voters choice directly effects a nonvoter, but a nonvoters choice has no effect in the voters, how can voters complain at all? Im fully ashamed i voted in the past 2 elections. I would recant my vote not because it was for trump, but i went against my own principles. I had to walk by the voting setups multiple times for my smoke break and i succumb to the temptation. Thats why i would recant if i could.

>Your vote doesn't matter.
>My vote doesn't matter.
>Everybody's vote matters.

Those are all true statements. Understanding that is the answer to your question.
