Politically speaking, should a man stay with his wife for the sake of his child? We know the psychological impacts (among others) of a child's parents separating, but is it worse for two parents who hate each other to stay together or separate and pray their child doesn't end up gay?
I hate niggers so fucking much.
>>541753158it depends on the unique situation. my parents marriage failed when i was 5 but they stayed together 'for us' until i was 15. the damage that decade of violence did is so severe that i cant imagine it'd have been worse for us if they'd divorced when i was 5. do what you will with that i suppose
>>541753158If your wife is a toxic person, you should get a divorce if you truly love your child. Growing up with a toxic parent is worse than growing up in a single parent.
>>541753666>Growing up with a toxic parent is worse than growing up in a single parent. That is true. Problem is I am never home due to work, so either way I wouldn't be there for my child, but when I am my wife constantly picks fights and argues, using our child as a prop and ignoring them making them incredibly upset.
>>541753666Divorcing her doesn't take her out of the kids life. If anything it takes him out of it more.>>541753892You should probably put up with her. Unless you feel safe having her and whoever she chooses next raising your kid.
>>541753368If you don't mind, what was the cause of your parent's marriage failure?
>>541754111I most certainly do not trust anyone in her life, but I am never home anyways and she takes our child to the very people I have to explain every time are bad.
>>541754111>whoever she chooses next raising your kid.I misread that. I do not believe she would choose anyone else frankly.
>>541754153they never should have wed. during this time my mother openly admitted that she settled for my father. another huge part of it was when i was very little my father took a lot of equity out of the house to invest. this worked out well in the long term but caused a lot of fighting for them in the moment
>>541754513I see. I can relate to your mother in a sense, I settled for my wife - we never should have wed. I'm sorry that happened to you, anon.
>>541754592life has ups and downs. those times were tough but i give credit to the violence of my childhood for making me into the man i am today. my parent's relationship never recovered but i am close with them both. at some point, we all have to suffer, and when yours comes i hope you do it well
>>541754811Thank you.
