Love. I haven't heard that word in a decade at least, in any major news outlet, CNN, Guardian, NYTs, Fox, WaPo, Atlantic, NYorker, Vanity Fair, etc. Sex galore. Poly this and that. But never love.Never the glue that keeps couples together through thick and thin; that allows you to raise healthy children. After you've made love and are lying there, contented, do you immediately switch off and think, "what's next", or do you feel a deep, abiding satisfaction from sharing something special only with one person that you know will be with only you, forever?

>loveIt’s not real, dude.
>>541772565It's nice, I can truly say I'm in love with my wife. I'm crazy about her. We've been together since we were both little kids. She's still very sweet, affectionate, and pretty. We've spent pretty much every day together for the last 37 years, and we still enjoy being together. Sunday we rode out to a secluded part of the beach, got naked, floated around and fucked in the water for hours, then built a fire on the beach and just hung out together. She makes my life so much better.

>romancing a girl that's got a fuck buddyit took way longer than it should have but a critical mass of males have wised up now that it's become noticeable
I haven't had some one tell me they love me in like 6 years now. I really did love the last girl I got with but she just wasn't into me like that. I guess being an uglycel means you keep it in the dl. We really would have made a good couple...
>>541772565Your boomer mother and other boomers have convinced you it ever.existed. It was always just entertainment genre for women. And the 'love' they experienced can really be more accurately described as relaxation from money problems, crime and vulgarities, they experienced a bubble world where survival was secondary and sexuality was more taboo due to no world wide web. Also love is not.soemthing felt by men, what we feel is lust. If you genuinely desire love your gay or a simp, likely a simp.
also, some music producer was asked years ago why there's so few romance songs now made by men and he just flatly said because the women are all acting like hoes now
>>541774407Pic related isn’t wrong. Monogamy should be the implicit expectation. I think it actually is for most people.

Yes, I have felt it. Lasted about 10 years with a couple not so great years bookending it. We had one son. She still cries about the split, and I feel badly myself, but she nor her family were never going to respect me once she started making more money than me and I got laid off. I work in a humanitarian field and make above average money, but she's corporate. So is her family. I recovered and wound up matching her for the last yea, but the damage was done. Even with a couples therapist she still wouldn't admit that conflict in front of the child was hurting him and his perspective of me. She'd just make shit up, too. So I left. Not even six months later, our 5 year old son was telling her that I'm a better parent and he wants to live with me. She eventually admitted that she was ultimately wrong to act how she did. Now, I have 50 50 custody, and there is no way I'd go back. But we did share a beautiful love. Nutting in a woman you love with huge tits and just lying on each other and falling asleep is the closest I believe the waking heart can get to nirvana in another. It's an illusion? So what. Illusions are delightful, and the joy and memories resultant from them decorate our lives forever.
Don't let this thread die.
>>541774107That's nice, anon. I'm happy for you! >>541774463Don't give up, anon. True love will find you in the end. There are many lonely people in the world. Too many. It's bizarre how we can all be so lonely, right next to each other or even while some are jumping from bed to bed. So much technical technique talk, and still no real life satisfaction. I dunno, that's what I think. >>541775181Yes, I may have overstated it as "forever" or the "only one", but I do think having some sense of permanence, even if, as you say, its an illusion, is important. It should be more permanent than it currently is. Thanks for posting, anon.
>>541772565even in my generation ppl where "choosing" their partners. thats not how it works
>>541772565I'm about to go to sleep but just want to add / finish with: i think it comes from taking sex seriously. Taking the responsibility of procreation seriously. It's not really as special if you do it with everyone, and so much lifelong, even generational pain can happen through careless intercourse and flippant child making. If that makes sense. Be well, everyone. Goodnight
