The graphics are also quite shit, much worse than the 2023 trailer, and the animations are PS3 tier and look as if there's no weight behind the characters, something all other Rockstar games have been good at. It mostly come down to DEI policies, specifically the policy regarding 50/50 male female staffing. Women just fucking suck when it comes to writing, coding, etc there has been a massive falloff in quality since 2015 when DEI policies started being rolled out in the industry. The original Halo Combat Evolved production team had about 200 people, the remake that was just released had almost 2000 people production team and the remake was laughably bad. Its clear that the industry as currently structured is collapsing, and the reasons are obvious.So its not write off so much as a clear eyed assessment of where we came from and where we are now. There are a few studios hanging on Rockstar is definitely one of them, I dont think GTA IV will be an utter failure; but the drop in quality and harsh reception of the release quality and writing, etc will be notable. The AAA studio model in general is collapsing. Things are headed back towards small, highly dedicated teams creating high quality games. Anything coming out of AAA these days is going to be viewed with suspicion and rightly so.
