The potential for political consolidation has never been greater, both traditional parties are at historic lows of support and the only visible alternative the DSA is making gains. Any political alternative could get a sizable vote from anyone who isn't a diehard communist. The more support such a faction has the less likely any sort of conflict is to begin. If the country is deadset on killing itself and those political extremes are the ones fighting then it continues to sound like not my problem.
