But basic task any high school graduate could have done 15 years ago seems impossible for them. I've tried hiring people with college degrees. I've tried the local technical college that has an IT program. I went to that technical college and went to a class of 15 that were in their final semester and only 2 showed any interest in a local IT job they would literally be 10 minutes from home doing. The pay we give for this position isn't great but it isn't awful either. Starts off at 50k a year in a rural area where rent is $600/month so it isn't like they couldn't live on it. I just don't get the zoomer mindset and I say that as a former neet. When I gave up I just didn't work for 6 years. They want to get jobs and get paid for nothing. At least put some effort in.
