The military runs on diesel, expanded everything in the arsenal, new trucks boats planes etc etc, all running on a diesel variant and are not "efficient" by any civilian standards. To offset that, they raised the prices, refined it more to extract additives for the military diesel formula, and claim its "ultra low sulphur" now. Which, yes technically reduced emissions, but also reduced power capabilities which is why all diesel engines had to get turbos and new computer tech to control.
russia banned export of diesel a couple of weeks ago has had a big impact why it's so much more expensive than gasso another example of jews shotting themselves in the foot in a desperate attempt to "bring Russia to negotiation table"

Anyway one of those was his and he swapped something simple out to be able to run on cooking oil. He'd get it for free from restaurants would still give it away and this was right around that first big gas surge we had early Obama term 1

Heating oil and diesel (pretty much the same thing but traded separately) are both pricing in lock step with each other right now. But the historical prices for heating oil were lower tops, so we're already at a new all time high price for heating oil. Which "only" affects about 15 million people in the US right at the start of the heating season in three weeks.
