If you don't like the story of one episode you can look forward to the next being different. Modern TV shows are almost all serialized and consist of 2-3 hours of actual conent stretched over 8-10 one hour episodes. Not only are you fucked if you dislike the main plot, but you're forced to watch an excruciatingly slow movie broken up into 10 episodes which usually contains massive amounts of filler to pad the runtime.Best case scenario: NuTrek totally collapses (as it kind of is atm) and the rights are sold to Seth MacFarlane, and he reboots TNG 2.0 that he directs and manages.
