First, I want to thank Iraq’s new president, Ali AlZaidi, for fighting corruption. His second step is cracking down on militias and disarming them. He also reached an agreement with the US, which will help improve Iraq by bringing in American companies and investment.

However, my main concern is what happens if militias like Asa'ib Ahl alHaq and Kata'ib Hezbollah enter a battle with the Counter Terrorism Service, the army, and special forces. Could it spark another civil war? We don't know yet, but we're waiting for September 30th.

In my view, these militias bring no benefit to Iraq. As an Iraqi citizen, I want the rule of law. I don't want someone carrying a gun and claiming to defend Iraq when they aren't part of the official government. Their weapons are illegal, and their loyalty is to Iran. Unfortunately, a large portion of the population has been brainwashed by militia ideology and Iranian influence.

They talk in the name of religion and jihad, but fighting the US serves no purpose. Every time they strike a US base, it just brings more sanctions on us, ruining Iraq bit by bit.

The hardest part is that I am the only one in my family and extended relatives who isn't brainwashed by Iran even my father's loyalty is with them. I am the only one who stands purely for Iraq. I'm just waiting for the day when Iraq changes and becomes a country ruled solely by government, army, and law. Thank you
