Why sell a 100 tacos for a dollar when you can sell 5 for 20?Anyway I have stopped eating at food trucks due to the price. Fairs and fests too but those where never cheap.
>>541893823Don't eat out, you can buy a whole turkey or chicken in the Midwest, cook it in the oven and eat for under 2 dollars per serving, but people don't want to spend the time to do that.
>>541893823In order to be legal, many food trucks need to operate out of a commercial kitchen, also for sanitary reasons, and most events or concession regulators will only allow businesses that have liability insurance. But many also don't, and pretend to be, and charge comparable prices while being really fucking cheap. Also fuel and cooking gas is fucking expensive now.
>>541894205Gas in Indiana is 3 bucks and like 40 cents a gallon.

>>541893823The tacos also taste like shit with bland taste other than the shell tasting like corn husks. Meaning they dont even take the husks off the corn to make the shell to save money -- making the shells smell and taste horrific.
>>541894061It used to be that by offering a greater value proposition you'd shutdown the competition. Then everyone agreed to just stop competing on price
>>541894319>>541894193>This, goys, I mean guys. Prices aren’t bad, don’t believe your eyes. You just need to move to flyover shitholes and economize. We must all do our part to defeat Iran!Kys
>>541893823I live near Los Angeles and I’ve been saying this for years. >shit atmosphere >poor sanitation >more expensive How is it even possible if they don’t pay rent, don’t have expensive equipment costs, and certainly aren’t paying what they should for their employees (FICA, medical, unemployment insurance, etc.) and you know they aren’t reporting their income. Food stand operators need to all get run over by drunk drivers (since alkies are their customer base). My preferred taqueria has lower prices, a better selection, indoor seating, and free self-serve beans. Oh, and it’s owned by an either a White American woman or the Whitest Mexican woman I’ve ever seen. I report my nearby street food vendors to ICE.
commercial vehicle insurance is because of brown people driving like dumbasses like they do back home in the turd worldi had to pay 30k my first year as a flatbed owner operator. goy vey
The Roachcoach (food truck) was a staple around the industrial areas in Chicago that dried up in the 80s and '90s. Cheap food for the iron and steel workers and the pipefitters. It was only brought back by stupid hipsters from Michigan, along with drinking PBR and horrible gay punk music. They merged with the faggots, the pseudo intellectual arts degree homos and adopted the suburban culinary loser. Lo and behold, the fagot communist pseudo intellectual piece of she/it with a culinary degree and too much of mommy and daddy's money created food trucks as a trend. Like everything else these people touch, it gets a ruined. Blame them.
>>541893823>Leftist women on city council require food trucks to have a special permit to operate. >Permit costs thousands. >Regulations mandate where food trucks can operate, where they are allowed to stop and between what hours they can operate because butthurt restaurant owners don't want the competition from the trucks. >Leftist city council also requires operators to complete food hygiene certification, environment protection and waste management certification along with cultural sensitivity and inclusivity training. >Food truck has to be fitted with an expensive grease trap that can only be installed by a state licensed installer. >Grease/oil waste has to be disposed at a certified liquid waste management centre at high cost. >Public liability insurance is required as well as property damage insurance from Noseburg & Sons Insurance Brokers. >Refrigeration and all electrical cords have to be checked and serviced annually by a Pajeet contractor who is state licensed. >Ingredients lists and allergen warnings need to be provided for all items on the menu, along with written action plans of what to do in the event of cross contamination or allergic reaction. >At least one person manning the truck needs to be trained in first aid, anaphylaxis management and administration of epipen. >All ingredients suppliers need to meet local regulations and requirements. The end result: "Here's your $28 burrito bro".
>>541894590It’s going to be everywhere. Ai will be able to find novel price equilibriums that maximize profit while minimizing production. The result will be most things becoming unaffordable for most people, while the middle class live like the poor did in the 90s.

>>541894807The first all-robot fast food chain that is going to slash prices, possibly even operate at a loss, and just wipe out a lot of shit. Use that growth in market share to secure failing assets of competitors, and convert them.Likely the first one will be even more expensive though, and nerds will pay it to LARP like they are in the future.
>>541896249It's going to be funny when even the robots are asking for a 20% tip. At least you don't have to worry about them spitting on your chicken sandwich
>>541894993Being a regular at a neighborhood taqueria is really the way to go. As long as it's in a regular residential/commercial area and not a hipster part of town, the food will be great and priced barely above fast food. And my experience is that if you're a regular, polite customer, they'll warm up to you just fine even if you're entirely white with no Spanish. Small freebies, instant service, etc. Always a pleasant experience going to my normal taqueria.
>>541894193Nigga I got a mf job.
For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.
>>541896682Ok? If you eat out / get fast food you're gonna need to work that job more, bitch.
