Why do so many religions demonize pleasure and sex?
Is it projection?
>>
>>541908228
Only Abrahamic kike religion does that
i.e. chirstcucks
>>
They're aware we're in a shitty morality play
>>
>>541908228
Control, mostly. It's a kind of litmus test. If they can restrict your sexuality, well... sex is one of the strongest physiological mechanisms wired into us. If they can create a chaste human, they have one who can accept governance.
>>
We need hoe deflation.More women should be like Bonnie Blue.

Discipline. Over-indulgence of pleasure leads to a weak population and a weak country that will get overrun by more disciplined armies

Why since religion declined there are so many incels ?
>>
But of course, things didn't used to be like this. Food satiated more easily, sex was obtainable. Now a days food is literally engineered to be addicting and non satisfying to the point GLPs have taken off, and masturbation- something that harms no one - is demonized because they lust for control. And what is the ultimate form of control? Every rank amateur cult leader knows that if you get to control what someone does or does not do with their own body, you've "won."

Bro have you opened a single military history book or heard the accounts of a single soldier? Soldiers have discipline but they whack off same as everyone else.
>>
>>541908632
Yeah raise an army and be puritanical about sex. Then send them to literally murder other people under severe sexual repression and see what happens.

People should stop having (((fun))) and work more towards their goals.

All forms of escapism should be punishable by death.

clarity of mindcels believe that 'pure' thought grants you access to heaven or nirvana or whatever.

The Red Army's official line was sex should be used only to raise a family. Ask German civilians how the Red Army treated captives of war.

The literal Puritans - ask Native Americans how they were treated by them.

The IJA - well - they said they never raped. Go google comfort women.

Too much pleasure can be a bad thing, yes. But I tell you going by history its always the ones championing purity that act the most degenerate

"Disciplined army beats decadent army" doesn't exactly work in some manga. I remember in Berserk, there was an army of demons that overpowered humans. Also, we have nukes now.

Its a fact that spending your sexual energy leads to defeat in all other areas of life. This is why athletes don't have sex before their competition. Its why soldiers don't have sex before battle.
>but they do have sex
Yeah and they fucking lose. Having sex turns you into a woman basically. You have empathy for your enemies, you don't try as hard, your confidence is gone.
>religion
All religion tries to do is guide people to live better lives. At some point humans figured out that having a single partner led to better results. All religion tries to do is teach humans to have a single partner which usually means restricting unfettered sex.

That's what he was saying, some NEED to whack off. Some don't.

During ancient times soldiers would return from battle and see women prostituting themselves. They would ban such things, and attempt to protect the sanctity of marriage.

This culturally bled through some religions, moreso as human politics than religious politics, but with many religious figures contributing greatly to the topic, and creating the visage that such partisanships were strictly religious.

It's fun to compare and contrast Japanese prostitution culture with Roman culture. Roman virtus believed that a man should be starved and tortured, and live a simple life with his wife. Japanese men divergently viewed prostitution as an artistic display, mainly because the famines on the island frequently saw people dying and leaving marriages, and so any artificial construct to encourage fertility was encouraged, whereas in the west fertility and child survival actually dropped when women would have too many kids.
>>
The religions (cults) that didn't got beaten and disappeared in the free market of ideas, with or without bloodshed.
>>
>>541908228
Because its a tension and energy release and religions, ideologies and states need that energy to channel it into people working for their goals. >>541908483 is right, but framed it as something positive, you could also say people need to be pent up to use their power to advance the goal of the elite.

Depending on their needs elites let people more or less form of pleasure, people can be pacified by sex, drugs and other forms of escepism and that is usually used when elite feel threatened. If they have goals to achieve like conquer territory, increase production etc. they would limit it so you get more motivated to fight/work. None of it is for the good of common pleb.

promiscuous sex spreads disease and men who tolerate promiscuous women end up paying for other mans children .

It is Evolutionary psychology. We are descended from the more successful people didn't tolerate promiscuous lifestyle. It gave them advantages of less disease and more children.

(They then had orgies and raped their countless slaves who they didn't see as people)

early human spirituality almost invariably had rites around sex, they accepted it as part of the natural order of things, as pointed out earlier this idea of "modesty", shame and monogamy as control is largely an Abrahamic thing

when people's natural instincts are suppressed they tend to take it out in the most indulgent and degen ways, this is why priests touch little children, why helicopter-parented children troon out later in life, why grindr peaks with maga faggots at republican conventions, why tradwife grifters and christfoids are cheating sluts and why psychopaths in authoritarian regime armies are rapists

Back then humanity didn't have a lot of protective measures against venereal diseases. Therefore, authority figures used the word of divine to instill fear amongst the peasant and vassals, but, of course that did not stop people from spreading syphilis etc around the pleasure districts.
>>
>>541909329
>when people's natural instincts are suppressed
I don't think it's quite that broad, but mostly that people have a tendency towards rebellion commensurate with the strength and detail of what controls them. In other words, the harder you control someone, the harder they want to rebel. The behaviors you try to control are more likely to be the ones they try to express once you can no longer control them. It's a big part of why catholic school girls often grow up to be such hypersluts. Society is paradoxically less fucked up when you educate people about risks instead of try to force them away from undesired behaviors and then punish them for it if they don't.

the newest religion we have is already 2k years old, put it in context, there was no drugs, videogames, movies etc back then, so sex was seen as a potentially highly addictive thing, they demonized it to police the lowest IQs of their time. pleasure is a more broad concept. buddism preaches the cease of all desires, because ultimately, on a spiritual level, desire is an admission of lack. you have to lack X to desire X, therefore you are creating, on a soul level, that lack, to experience that desire. it's kind of a lifehack thing that they tried to do but of course people are retarded and they took away "preach suffering" and to this day they preach suffering and hurt themselves in the name of fighting desire

Seneca the Elder: “Unchastity is a crime in the freeborn, a necessity for a slave, a duty for the freedman.” (Controversiae 4, preface 10.)

Petronius, Satyricon 75.11 (the freedman Trimalchio): “For fourteen years I pleasured him; it is no disgrace to do what a master commands. I also gave my mistress satisfaction.”

Horace, Satires 1.2.116–119: he prefers “sex that is easy and obtainable” with a slave to the risks of adultery with a married woman.

Agricultural writers (Varro, Columella) discuss pairing male and female slaves so the men stay controllable and the owner gains more slaves by birth.

Roman sources treat sex with one’s own slaves as ordinary and legally unproblematic. They treat “orgies” as something else: elite gossip, satire, and political smear, not a documented mass institution.
Sexual use of slaves
Roman law treated slaves as property. An owner’s sexual access to his own slaves was not stuprum (the crime covering illicit sex with free persons of honor). It was use of property. Sex with someone else’s slave without permission could be treated as damage to that property.
Primary texts that state this bluntly:

Seneca the Elder: “Unchastity is a crime in the freeborn, a necessity for a slave, a duty for the freedman.” (Controversiae 4, preface 10.)
Petronius, Satyricon 75.11 (the freedman Trimalchio): “For fourteen years I pleasured him; it is no disgrace to do what a master commands. I also gave my mistress satisfaction.”
Horace, Satires 1.2.116–119: he prefers “sex that is easy and obtainable” with a slave to the risks of adultery with a married woman.

Treating pleasure as inherently bad is an oversimplified view of morality. It's true that people can do terrible things for pleasure, but anti-pleasure moralism can also motivate cruelty. Someone who convinces himself that pleasure is corrupting society may justify cruelty in the name of restoring order. In that case, he has merely replaced an appetite for pleasure with an appetite for power and control.
So, personal self-denial can be virtuous, but it doesn't justify imposing suffering on others.
>>
If you think about how cruelty itself is a source of pleasure for some people, the line blurs. Same hedonism, different branding.
