I'm 37 now and have been on my own for almost all of my adulthood. I spent six years in the Navy living in Hawaii and Japan during my 20s, now I am out working a boring desk job but making alright money. I also get $2k in disability benefits every month which helps a lot. Not sure where to go from here as I can't afford to get my Bachelor's degree without going into massive debt and I tapped out my GI bill. Because of the disability pay I feel I am doing better than most of my peers and I'm not actually disabled.
