>BREAKING: The Trump administration is now planning to resume the Iran war with full force after the November midterm elections, with Trump having a window from November 3rd through January to significantly escalate the war, until the newly elected members take office in the Senate and House, per Reuters.

>Meanwhile, top Trump aides are pushing him to formally declare the Iran war over and keep it from escalating before November to limit Republican electoral losses.

>This comes as Iran says it will "defeat Trumpism" in the November midterms, by "systematically damaging Trump's presidency" through economic warfare.

Despite paying tariffs, Americans are losing big on trade under Trump. The July U.S. trade deficit soared over 24% to $88.4 billion. That's the largest monthly deficit since the tariff front-running month of March 2025. The deficit in July 2024 under Biden was just $78.8 billion

Fair enough, but the thing is that the Assad regime never implemented drone warfare which doesn't really cost much. Hezbollah implemented it way too late, not sufficiently enough and was too retarded to have 3d printed grenade droppers like the Houthis. For Hamas, well I can't really blame them too much because they're blocked from all sides. But I can blame them for starting October 7th knowing well it goes against their interests in the long term.

Losing depends on your perspective of objectives this war. What is this war about ,can you remind me? Yes, Destroying Iran's missile capabilities, nuclear capabilities, getting rid of Highly enriched materials of Uranium and Plutonium and and making Islamic republic stop funding Proxies once and for all. And not to forget, making Iran Western allied for at least 100 years to deter China and Russia.
The only achievement US succeeded to achieve is Eliminating Khamenei and his people.
So I stand right, we aren't losing. We aren't winning either.

Didn't Pezekshian admit earlier that if they needed to choose between feeding their population or their foreign proxies, they would prioritize their own first? — In my opinion, the psychological operation carried out by Israel the past two days is very clear:

1. Falsely have Hebrew media outlets claim that Iran has threatened an attack against Israel if Ali Taher Hill is captured.

2. IDF suddenly announces the capture of Ali Taher Hill shortly after.

3. Paint a strong and defiant image of the IDF, that captured the hill ‘despite Iran’s threats’.

4. Make Iran look weak by emphasizing the lack of a military response (which was never officially threatened).

its a war of attrition, our spr is draining, we have a 1.4 mb/day deficit of sour and every day it gets more and more dire. The reason the price is low is because the spr releases acted as a buffer on the strangled supply and obviously once they run out oil will become even more expensive but also, any supply shock will be felt directly and severely, to the point of shortages.

It would destroy the US oil industry in the long run, but can't Trump ban refined product exports? (with the exception of to Canada since they'd need to keep bring in Canadian oil). It would end the US oil boom in the medium/long term, but clearly Trump doesn't care about anything that happens the day after he leaves office.

It would totally screw Europe but Trump might see that as a feature.

Trump is already saddling the oil industry with his schemes in Venezuela. He already treats it like state property. Honestly surprised he hasn't banned exports yet, maybe it'll be an October surprise, gas prices halve in the Use overnight and the moronic public credit Trump for this genius move and the Republicans do ok.

The New York Times: The US Navy faces a serious logistical problem in the Middle East. Approximately 20 ships carrying about 20,000 sailors and marines need more than 420,000 meals and about eight million gallons of fuel every week.

The situation worsened significantly after Iran destroyed a major naval logistics base in Bahrain, and made other nearby ports too dangerous to use.

Supply ships must travel about 2,200 miles to reach Diego Garcia, or even further to reach Singapore, before returning to the fleet.

>The Logistics Nightmare Facing U.S. Warships - NYT

>Iranian attacks have upended the Navy’s supply chain in the Middle East, causing a strain on the aircraft carriers, destroyers and amphibious ships that are being kept in the region indefinitely.

>On a typical U.S. aircraft carrier, 5,000 crew members work around the clock and require up to four meals a day. Although the ships are nuclear-powered, the planes and helicopters flying off them use millions of gallons of fuel each week.

>Carriers don’t travel alone. They are protected by destroyers armed with antiaircraft and cruise missiles, together forming what is called a carrier strike group. Those ships also need to be resupplied with food and fuel.

>There are currently two carriers and 12 destroyers in the Middle East helping to enforce a blockade of Iranian ports. They have extra support from a set of three warships known as an amphibious ready group, which hosts an assault force of Marines.

>The Navy has about 20 ships in the Middle East, carrying roughly 20,000 sailors and Marines. The logistical challenges are immense: The ships need enough food for more than 420,000 meals and about eight million gallons of fuel each week.

>The Navy has operated there for decades and built supply depots throughout the region. But Iran destroyed a critical Navy logistics base in Bahrain on Feb. 28, the first day of the war, and other ports in the region that can accommodate an aircraft carrier or a supply ship are also within range of Iranian missiles and drones, making them inaccessible.

>Navy supply ships in the region now have to travel 2,200 miles to a tiny island in the Indian Ocean called Diego Garcia to bring food, fuel and other goods to the warships in the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.

>The next option is to go to Singapore, 3,700 miles away — which requires the ships to pass through the Strait of Malacca, a busy commercial corridor.

>Because the war has cut off access to nearby bases in the Middle East, the only option is to undertake resupply missions at sea every five or six days.

>This process is potentially hazardous, exposing both the receiving ship and the supply ship to risk.

>During these missions, both ships need to travel together, keeping precisely the same course and speed. With waves, winds and current, it’s a challenge to keep the ships safely within about 150 feet of each other for hours.

>Sailors use rifles to fire lines from a carrier or destroyer to the supply ship, eventually connecting the two ships with steel cables. Fuel lines and pallets of goods are then sent over on those cables.

>At the same time, helicopters ferry supplies between the ships, carrying pallets of food, spare parts and mail in nets slung underneath.

>The deployments for these warships are open-ended — they only go home once the president and the defense secretary decide so.

>However, this is not sustainable.

>The Navy has only 11 aircraft carriers in total, and has sent four of them to the Middle East for the war. Some of the remaining carriers are undergoing lengthy repairs in shipyards and will not be able to deploy again for years.

>One carrier, the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, spent most of its nine months at sea with no port calls. Under normal conditions, a Navy carrier would visit port about once a month to give its crew a brief rest. On Aug. 20, the Lincoln was relieved by the U.S.S. George Washington and began making its way back home.

>The Lincoln docked in Thailand on Wednesday morning. Its sailors will have a few days of shore leave there before continuing across the Pacific to the carrier’s home base in San Diego.

>In a CNBC interview on Wednesday, Energy Secretary Chris Wright said 17 million barrels were carried through the strait on Monday with assistance from the U.S. Navy.
The US vice president, the US president, and the US energy secretary do not seem to agree on how much oil they have brought through the strait. Lmao

>Economic enlistment for indebted military-age Americans

>The average American aged 18 to 34 carries more than $40 thousand in non-mortgage debt across student loans, credit card balances, auto loans, and personal loans, with some estimates go as high as $100 thousand.

>This is the cohort the Pentagon needs. A federally administered debt-forgiveness enlistment program that fully discharges student loan, credit card, and loan balances after 24 or 36 months of service, and extends the GI Bill, would produce voluntary enlistment at scale.
>The moral reading on this is uncomfortable. But states generate the soldiers they need through the incentives that work on the population they have.

>"Dan is obviously a very good friend of mine. I think he was a great secretary of the Army. Pete is also a very good friend of mine," Vance said.
>He then launched into a defense of the way Hegseth has run the department and changed the culture.
Vance drops driscoll.
>The vice president, who is widely expected to seek the presidency in two years but hasn't said if he will run, was asked if he'd support Hegseth or U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas — two Republicans whose names have been floated as possible presidential candidates.
>Vance said he encourages any Republican who cares about the country to focus on the midterm elections, not a job that is a few years away. But he added, "I could see myself supporting a whole host of people."
>He called Hegseth "a great guy" and of Cruz, he said: "Just, clearly, Ted is a very authentic and likable guy and I'm sure he'll do great."
And judging by the patronizing way he speaks about other possible candidates, he seems to genuinely think he has a chance of becoming the next president.

> 20 empty Iran-flagged tankers are currently loitering off Sri Lanka—namely, STREAM, HALTI, DREAM II, HERO II, SILVIA I, SEA CLIFF, SNOW, HELM, DIAMOND II, DEEP SEA, DUNE, DINO I, SONIA I, HERBY, SEVIN, AMBER, HENNA, FELICITY, HUGE, and DORE.From August 23, most of these Iran-flagged tankers departed the Galle anchorage and started loitering within the vicinity of Sri Lanka. The impact of the blockade is preventing the return of these ships to Iran.

>There are 7 Iran-flagged tankers currently in the Eastern Outer Port Limits anchorage (EOPL) off Malaysia: HUMANITY, STARLA, HILDA I, DAN,HAPPINESS I,HEDY,andDORENA, which have either offloaded or waiting to conduct ship-to-ship transfers.

I find it interesting that they want to pay back people's debts instead of simply offering them $100k directly. Are they afraid that the niggers would take the $100k and still not pay back their debts to the kikes? Obviously, this is also about a bailout for kikes who lent too much money to niggers.

an actual ground war in Iran will be a meat grinder that makes Ukraine look like a toddler's birthday party. These Trump and his Epstein friends know they likely won't get the full repayment out of many of their debt slaves so why not mulch the bodies for their greater israel project? Fell for it again.

They can be in a infinitely better position but choose not to. Maybe the Iranians know something I dont though.

US commercial crude oil inventories sit at about 428.9 million barrels (excluding the SPR) — a surprising BUILD of 17.422 million barrels, the largest weekly increase since January 2023 — while the Strategic Petroleum Reserve stands at about 286.6 million barrels, a 3.7 million barrel weekly draw and its lowest level since December 1982 (EIA Weekly Petroleum Status Report, week ending Aug 28, released Aug 19). Including the SPR, total US crude stocks stand at roughly ~722 million barrels. A DOE spokesperson told CNBC the reserve's safe operating minimum is roughly 70 million barrels, distinct from the 252.4 million barrel statutory threshold that restricts certain limited drawdowns. It comes in a week where the UAE explicitly blamed Iran for attacks on two ADNOC-affiliated vessels transiting Hormuz, and Treasury Secretary Bessent said the US will pursue "economic isolation" measures against Iran "the likes of which have never been seen." This page tracks the oil buffer that sits behind every shortage on the map: how much usable inventory remains, and how fast it is being spent.

Their path leads to the same goal, just more slowly. I think the crucial difference is that all their current actions are indisputably declared defensive. This deprives america of any chance of gaining the moral high ground. I would also prefer to see an acceleration, but that's probably just my hatred for the american empire speaking.

Our bond market/debt is going to defeat us, before Iran needs to do anything else. The most Bessent can do is to kick this can past the election, because he's not as smart as he was when he actually worked for George Soros.

Also, sanctions mean shit all in a world of crypto.

Yeah, I definitely agree. Quite frankly, I think it's also a bit too early to jump the gun and make judgments based on the current status quo because we are still two months away from the midterms and there are many unknown variables (backchannel deals etc). If Iran is going to escalate, it will do so in late September to early October imo. But I do have the sneaking suspicion that Iran is focusing its attention on other economic factors, like the bond market, diesel prices, the agricultural sector (lack of fertilizer, etc.), and of course the yen intervention. I think if you're just looking at the oil situation, you might miss the bigger picture. It feels like Iran is waiting for the right moment to rug-pull everything all at once.
