Judge ordered sentence, 24 hours max. almost two weeks later, I'm still in county. Now this whole time, guards are telling me what "job" i'm going to have. I laughed, I'm not working for ten cents a day, you';re insane. They threatened to put me in the "other" part of the jail. I laughed. I drink with big scary construction worked and bikers and shit, like anything's happening to me. They threatened my "good time" days off wouldn;t come. I said hey, I'm here for a one day sentence, its going on a week now. I ain't working and giving you an incentive to keep me, The guards claimed the warden could assign me longer sentence for refusing to work, I laughed, lets go see mr warden. he can't sentence me on his own whim, only a court can. Still there, though. But I had started telling ALL the guys in my pod. They have thousands of us, and we all work. If we ALL refuse to work? This place shuts down in a couple days. Spread the word. A week later? I was cut loose. When I went in, I had just cashed a paycheck and I was nigger rich in cash. I had enough to bail myself out without bail bond. They told me "that's MY money, you need to get bailed out by a bail company". When I got out, I looked it up. I can't FIND any county prison in the country, that doesn't allow inmates to "self bail" if they have the cash on them. Just this slave labor place.
