Paying no rent is tricky. If you have boomer parents who don't hate you, you can probably do it comfortably, but if you are on your own, you'll have to become a hobo and live in your car or a tent or something. If rent costs 50% of your income then you are doing something wrong. If it's 0% of your income, you are doing something right.
