there was a sort of similar case in Edinburgh around 2010 or so.
An AMERICAN mother stabbed her 3 kids to death, tried to blow herself up with gas then threw herself out of a window.

She was brought into hospital and the nurses refused to treat her (I worked there) so they bussed in a couple of nurses from Glasgow who would treat her

she got 18 years and will be deported to America upon her release.

Yes, it's more common than you might think. It's always happened, both men and women alike do it pretty frequently. We have a saying that goes "(s)he brought them into this world, and (s)he can take them out." It's not even usually seen as a major loss or anything, because anyone willing to murder their children is of a cursed bloodline, and the world is a better place with all of them gone.
