Probably because they had reasonable doubt

Why would the defense be trying to remove the dissenter if they were the only one voting not guilty?
>>
>>541996158
The defense seemed to know.
After what the defense said (and the judge did not question) it should be no doubt as to mistrial.

So I saw this explained online. Basically, in most states, when you plead insane, the defense has to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that you are insane.

In Massachusetts, where this trial is taking place, it’s flipped (weirdly). If you plead insane, you are assumed to be insane. It is now the prosecution’s job to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that you are not insane.

Basically, the juror all decided that the prosecution couldn’t prove that Lindsey is not insane. Which makes sense, because that’s basically an impossible feat to achieve. How the fuck do you prove that someone is not insane? Her psychiatrists testified that she did not exhibit symptoms of psychosis, but does that prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she never had it? You can have cancer, and your doctor might miss it.

Which is why the jury asked the judge to re-explain the definition of reasonable doubt. Because it’s pivotal to this case.

So it seems that, considering the state’s retarded legal system, that the jury was actually right. The lone juror is basically “jury nullifying” the really dumb law that this state has. Morally correct, legally probably wrong.

It’s like me saying
>Prove to me, beyond reasonable doubt, that OP is not thinking about cocks right now.
Like how the fuck did this become the law in this state?

Ok so she's insane and should be life time committed as a dangerous psychiatric patient. Does this country not do that?

The legal definition of insanity is different from the clinical definition of insanity.

Judge ruled a mistrial
The next jury will send her to prison.
To kill once, you might claim it was insanity,
but to kill three, means it was deliberate, and premeditated murder
>>
>>541997402
>Does this country not do that?
They do, and if she was deemed insane instead criminally responsible then she'd be sent to a mental institution for (likely) the rest of her life.
The case is still a big deal cause it's was a stretch that she was insane and her not being sent to the electric chair for blatantly murdering your three kids in cold blood just shows how little accountability women have, especially when viewed with the support she received from other women
tldr: She was never going to just walk out of the courtroom a free woman, she admitted to killing the kids and that's stated fact, it's whether she was criminally responsible or not.

Lindsey would have gotten life in most other states. It just so happens that Assachuschets has the most Jewish laws in existence.

>Hurr, it’s not my fault. I’m insane. I can do whatever I want.
>You’re not insane.
>Nuh uh, prove that I’m normal.
>Look at me. I’m so quirky and weird. I’m clearly. I’m clearly insane

We’re only a few years away from self-identifying as a Quirk Chungus being a valid legal defense in federal felony court.

I think those may have been the prosecution witnesses. some pyschiatrists said she had ppp and bipolar:

Checked.
Anybody can go crazy. It's not a choice. There is a paper trail of her seeking out help for it and not getting enough. She disgusts me, but punishing her doesn't seem to serve much of a purpose.

>Which is why the jury asked the judge to re-explain the definition of reasonable doubt. Because it’s pivotal to this case.
Reasonable doubt gets spun into "Well, you don't have a recording of the murder taking place, thus I have a reasonable doubt."

It takes more than a penis to make you a man. Nine in ten men are actually women. It's even worse when you filter by race.

There was no doubt that Lindsey did it. She admitted to it.

The question is whether there is reasonable doubt that she is sane.

Which is why it’s important in this case. It’s backwards. The jury basically has to assume Lindsey is insane, and then the prosecution has to prove Lindsey is sane.

I have no idea how this has played out in other trials, but this shit sounds basically impossible to do.

as a man, biologically, you're not meant to be in a room with nine women that aren't part of your harem. if there's another man there, your instinct is to try to win the women over. it's basic science. the next jury has to be all black women.
>>
>>541996449
....Where did you get that information?
From some literal who on twatter. Stop being an idiot.
The prosecutor, the defense nor the judges knows anything other than the vote is not unanimous. Hell, even the jurors aren't completely sure who the dissenter is.
Remember, since 2013 no media has to be factual anymore.

>if she was deemed insane instead criminally responsible then she'd be sent to a mental institution for (likely) the rest of her life.
That's a big assumption. If she presents as not mentally unwell in the hospital then she will have grounds for release.
By all accounts her verdict, when it eventually comes, will most likely be the difference between 2 or 3 years in a hospital, or 30+ in prison

Look at the face of the bitch cop and the defendant, there's some weird genetic stock in that town
