For those who don't know. This is the only active SUPER volcano in the world. Its last major eruption in 1815 resulted in the "year without summer" across the northern hemisphere. Older eruptions pre-dating humanity are believed to have resulted in extinction events.

TL:DR: Its over.
>>
>>541995600
That is fucking awesome. I wish there was better footage. Hard to tell how big the eruption is. Biggest one Ive seen by far though.

lol, lmao. Indonesia's population is almost entirely located next to active volanoes. It is a volcanic island chain situated along a tectonic fault line.
Krakatoa is surrounded by sea so nobody lives to next to it, though. But a large eruption could cause a tsunami.

>>
>>541995600
I feel like if there was an actual huge eruption we would have heard about it from official news sources by now. Or people in Jakatara(which is just 100 miles away) talking about earthquakes and shit in the sky on social media. How do they not have cameras pointed at this thing like they do for Mt. Rainier.
>>
>>541995699
Actually for once this is not the fault of the jew
Krakatoa itself did this because pajeets are intolerably shitting up the Indian Ocean. jews stay blameless

OP didn’t claim that. I see on USGS there are decent 5.0 richter quakes at insane depths on Sumatra and the central side of Java. I don’t think that necessarily means it’s related to Krakatoa, but at depths like that who the fuck knows. Don’t ever say retard shit about it not being on globohomo jew media yet, so it’s fake, either. God you’re a fucking newfag
>>
>>541996595
From what I'm reading the eruptions are actually thought to have been from North American, including the Aleutian islands which are thought to be hiding a supervolcano underwater if I recall.

We're in danger zone atm. These alignments:
>Earth - moon - inner planets + a gas giant
provides a conduit for all kinds of discharges, since space is not empty, but a highly charged "volume" (sun pushes non stop immense amounts of energy and matter out into space, which gets trapped into our solar system "bubble" for awhile before escaping into interstellar space..
Around 10th this month, there seems to be direct line with Venus - Earth - Saturn and Moon in an angle. Continues from there few days.
https://www.theplanetstoday.com/

Usually the discharges / eruptions happens on the morning side of the Earth. If I were on active areas, I would probably go camping and would stay out buildings for the next two weeks.
>>
>>541998604
fun fact: there are ancient fault lines under the South Carolina state that can cause huge earthquakes, despite not being near any major present fault lines. a 7.0+ happened in SC once and some lesser ones before that. scientists don't really know what causes it. these fault lines are very old - 200+ million years - when NA was effectively still right next to Europe. the Atlantic Ocean would have been a small sea at the time.

Volcanic soil is the best soil for growing almost any plant and in such a warm climate the locals can grow tons of food for themselves and for trade.
Also quick death if shit pops off.
I don't know about you guys but I'm totally fine with meeting my inevitable demise in a volcanic eruption.

also active volcanos are not the ones you should worry about, they are constantly releasing pressure. it's the ones not releasing anything and just building pressure that are the potential endings.

that's Tambora, the most destructive volcanic eruption recorded in history (VEI = 7. basically richter seismic scale but for volcanic eruption based on volume of erupted materials). it's a different volcano to this Krakatoa.
Krakatoa's last huge eruption was in 1883 (3rd most catastrophic, VEI = 6) and the huge erupted ashes blanket the entire sky blocking sunray, caused global famine "the year without summer".
the 2nd most catastrophic one is very close to your home; Thera eruption at Santorini (VEI = 6).
for comparison, Vesuvius was varied VEI = 3-5 But it was catastrophic ruin because back then the romans at Pompeii and surroundings don't even know what's a volcano. There were constant low Richter scale tremors but dismissed as normal thing. the big earthquake as sign of eruption was a surprise that caught everyone off-guard

speaking of surprise, 2004 Aceh tsunami claimed huge casualties because most indogs around never experienced big Tsunami before. Interestingly, there was a story of a village at a small island closer to the epicenter with zero casualties because people there were aware on folk history of Tsunami and know to immediately evacuate to high ground for any quake

And Supervolcano also exist. Indonesia has Toba, and US has Yellowstone in Wyoming, which is predicted to erupt in the close future (coming years, decades, centuries) US pacific northwest is least developed metropolist of US because it was flanked by Cascadia mega-earthquake on the West and Yellowstone at the East

>>
>>541999998
Also there’s a more dangerous volcano in Eastern US than Yellowstone, forgot it’s name, but if that erupts it’s fin.
>>
>>542000637
looked into it, it really is over, physically for most of US. like actual physical damage, ash everywhere, wipe of most life. like apocalyptic shit. on like 2/3 of all states

curious if such a happening would have signs before or would just go in few days
>>
>>542000770
> physically for most of US. like actual physical damage, ash everywhere, wipe of most life. like apocalyptic shit. on like 2/3 of all states
That’s just the initial phase. The ash and soot would obscure sunlight over the entire earth. The death toll could exceed 75% of all flora and fauna
>>
>>542001080
ah for sure. what I meant is that 2/3 will face utter and immediate destruction, like direct destruction. all planet is fucked for a while, with most life going away.
we actually have one of these closeby, in sea waters next to greece me thinks. same scale volcano.
>>
>>542000770
>ash everywhere
Volcanic ash is very potent fertilizer. It contains all minerals necessary for plants to grow and keeps doing that for decades, even centuries..
Forest fires are also good for the forest, every now and then.

Found a climate impact study from the 1883 eruption with surprisingly detailed data:
https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Nathalie-Schaller/publication/255700466_Climate_effects_of_the_1883_Krakatoa_eruption_Historical_and_present_perspectives/links/0f31752f4ab5f1da2c000000/Climate-effects-of-the-1883-Krakatoa-eruption-Historical-and-present-perspectives.pdf
The last eruption happened at Solar minimum and we're still about 3 years out so we'll probably have a deeper temperature swing.
Ran some scenarios by Gemini and it projects a potential reduction of C4 grains (maize) of upwards of 10% and everything else 5%. Not great, not terrible.

Check on 1815's literature and you wont find much about it. People talked about the Waterloo defeat, Napoleon's exile, christians' persecution in China, the halt of the niggers' triangular trade, etc... but no mention of a veil of ash clouding half the planet.
At most it made summer a tiny bit colder in Europe and triggered bad harvests for a year, but it's not like famines weren't happening every few years anyway back then.

Yes, and the caldera is enormous - about 35 miles across (driving all the way around was about 100 miles, iirc). It's beautiful but a bit spooky when the ground gets hot enough to soften the road asphalt.

Isn't anak just little?
As in, it disintegrated the mountain that was there, and now a smaller version of that same mountain has returned, and now it's erupted again?
And wasn't it the water filing the caldera that made it so explosive last time, cubic kilometers of water turning to steam and needing to make a void 7000 times larger (the expansion ratio of water to steam; is why boilers are so fucking dangerous, with explosions in the kiloton range, with volumes of less than a cubic meter), instantaneously?
Yeah, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
At least you're representing your flag.
>>
>>
the original Krakatoa eruption was so massive because it emptied its magma chamber and cubic kilometers of cold seawater filled a colossal red hot boiler chamber and resulted in a steam explosion measured in hundreds of MEGAtonnes of power.
