How the hell is cat food going up in price? 85 cents a can, cheaper to get tuna now. The cheapest one you can get is about 50 cents
I'm allergic to cats but have catnip all over my yard so the kitties come play over here all the time with me in the yard. It's just as good as having a cat myself.YOU pay for the food, I enjoy kitty time.
>>542001525That sounds fun. Where do I get catnip seeds?
>>542001402dog food too. like $2 a can. My can of Chili or soup is cheaper.
>>542001650I just got them online. In my climate once they're well rooted they never die. I have noticed sometimes they try to shed my kiwi vines, then I looked it up and kiwi is in the same family as silvervine which has the same types of chemicals catnip has. So I am gonna try to build a little anti-cat cage for 'em.
>>542001786>shedshred
>>542001722Why wet food? Dry is just as good and you can pour some leftover cooking oil or put some leftover rendered fat on top and they love it. It's vastly cheaper.

1. Always buy in bulk.2. Always buy in bulk from Amazon, Target and other hated huge retailers, then complain cans are dented (dent one yourself if necessary), take a photo, this will get you a refund where you keep all the good cans. Do this every few shipments. The cans usually are dented, they use insanely thin-walled cans. One of my favorite cats I ever knew was a neighbor cat who would come over into my yard for pets. Big white cat. I miss that motherfucker daily. Treasure your time with your cats, it's so easy to ignore them for some stupid shit when you should be giving them your undivided. If you have an outdoor cat consider bringing them indoors, you've just gotten lucky so far and that luck can run out and you'll never forgive yourself.
>>542001910I mix in pees and dry food. he's a very picky dog, getting too fat
>>542002294>peespeas, that is
>>542002294If he's getting too fat AND he's picky, you're spoiling the animal. My prescription is to get one of those little doggie saddle bags and take him on hikes and fill it up with mushrooms and berries and good things like that.
>>542001402Only use lite tuna or you’ll give your cat mercury poisoning. You can also get those foils packs of salmon.
>>542002363Salmon has the same mercury as tuna. They are higher order predators which concentrate mercury.Best thing would be something like deens, which is essentially what dry cat food is made of. Fish meal is the bulk of a lot of formulations.
>>542001402Trucks run on diesel, diesel is at an all time high right now. So.. everything transported by truck is higher price.
>>542001402go to a butcher shop. buy scraps like chicken feet, heads and entrails. things like that cost pennies and they are much healthier for your cat than the overpriced canned slop. my cats only eat raw meat and fish and so far they are the healthiest and most energetic cats I've seen. >>542001910don't listen to this fuckin retard. dry cat food is mostly onions and flour and seed oils are toxic. yes it will be cheaper but then the vet bill will far exceed the cost of those savings. cats are carnivores and their natural diet is exclusively raw meat.
>>542001402>Feeding your cat canned food
>>54200140285 cent for Friskies is still cheap, here it's like 2$ and is more expensive than Tuna. There was once sale of purina gold, $1.33 a can but you need to buy 5>>542002475better than dry food
>>542001402good, up the prices and call it the toxoplasmosis tax
>>542001402Fucking savage, don’t get tuna, feed them dolphin.
>>542001402people will pay anything to keep their precious pets healthycompanies thus crank up the priceall surplus shall belong to the producer
>>542002453>Salmon has the same mercury as tunano it doesn't. salmon has a minuscule amount,
>>542001402Buy cat food in bulk. They sell large Friskies boxes with 40 cans. It's cheaper that way. Kitty's gotta eat too:
>>542004405
>>542003887Bullshit, it's the same as albacore. Unless you're counting those little 2-3 pound chicken salmon.
