No they raised rent because the market is willing to absorb it. The OP has the capacity to look for another rental at a better price.

when utilities become more expensive, you should continue paying the same rate for them?

It isn't even that. It is humans being fucking retards. There are absolutely downsides to owning a home. If you're going for the model of set your roots down and live a structured life. Then home owning makes sense.

What modern home owners basically exist as or operate on. Is using their ownership as leverage in order to get up the ladder and on to the next house. The leverage comes from increasing property values. But what exactly causes your property values to increase in the first place?

Some landlords cover it. I have been in situations majority of the time where I am directly paying for hydro/gas. I actually prefer doing that than believing some landlord when it comes to them bundling these into the price. I don't think it is right. The price they offer for rent is quite literally just what the market dictates based on what people pay. And for renting I am paying for access to that property. I am not paying rent for you to handle paying my use of hydro/gas.

The only good thing about being a landlord is being able to deny housing to losers like you. My apartment building- which also live in- was a dump before I bought it, and I made it livable again. My tenants are genuinely grateful for that.
I rented my entire adult life until I bought my place, and was lucky enough to have had a couple of landlords over the years who kept my rent affordable. I was always genuinely grateful for that, and as such, I charge substantially less than the going market rate in my region, even after raising the rent because heating oil became more expensive. The fact that you can't accept that not everyone is a greedy, selfish nigger says a lot about you.

So BTC is static right (like gold because there is finite gold on the planet) so a static entity that is chopped up in order to do what?

What is the purpose of money? It is a tool for humans to utilize to best get an idea of what we value in exchange for goods and services. Instead of me making honey and having to determine how much honey I have to exchange for say someone to build me a home, someone to give me powertools, someone to give liquor. I can utilize the nominal dollar values for exchange via money.

Say our human population is to increase, we will go through ups and downs but overall I see no reason as to why the human population could potentially grow to 16 billion humans.

But bitcoin is static. So now you've created a scenario in which the basis for our currency cannot really change but new humans are going to come into existence. A better way of looking at the problem I'm presenting is to think about gold.

If we have gold backed currencies. And the human population is going to increase. That means we need the specific industry of gold mining to also increase just so that humans themselves can continue to make economic transactions. Do you not see a problem with this?
>>

>>
>>542005722
I do it for a stable place to live until I die, and to have control over who my neighbors are. I literally don't make a profit, any extra money beyond the mountain of bills (taxes, insurance, heating oil, water, trash collection, etc.) goes back into improving the house. I work too, my tenants don't put food on my plate or clothes on my back.
>>
>>542005790
How? Someone else will just take your spot
>>
>>542001703
If you pay rent with utilities included on a flat fee you should absolutely run all your electronics and home appliances 24/7 without ever turning them off. Buy the old home appliances that use a lot of power and never break. Keep central heating on max all the time with windows open. Open the bathtub faucet and let it run non stop. Keep running your laundry machine for one item of clothing at a time. Etc
>>
>>542006614
Is this what you truly believe lol?

Do you know how markets operate? If you believe in what you just said. Surely the smart move for people who rent should just ALWAYS live in the same rental at all times... no?

I'm a smarter landlord. I don't include utilities in the rent. They are always extra.
The rentoid has to pay what they actually use. If the monthly anticipated payments were too much they get a refund at the beginning of the year or at the end of te contract. If they don't cover the actual consumption they have to make an additional payment and will pay higher anticipated payments in the following year.
