Hams already have something called DX spotting. People with huge antennas suck in the entire HF spectrum and then a program watches for morse code and then decodes it and posts it on the Internet. That way if a station from a rare country pops up you can easily contact them or at least know they're on air if you are too far away / qrp / not enough mast / you can at least listen for the station and turn on all your filters and selective-q tuning nets.

Also Flock has radios, they can suck in the whole radio spectrum and just process it on the spot or transmit it somewhere for further analysis.

I know different cars have different noises based on just hearing coil whine with my radio. I can hear cars coming down the street with my radio before I can hear them with my ears, and each one has a unique sound.

On a similar but disturbing notee, one of my USB keyboards, that old classic black Dell one where the keys go to the edges of the board, puts out a distinct little tone for each keypress. It was simple to use Mathmatica to read that in in real time and then show me my lossage.

I have one of those gay segwey scooters that has an always on Bluetooth. Sure I can clip it and bypass the controller but I haven't done it yet. Anyway, there's certain spots in town that will randomly shut it down and I have to turn it back on. Only happens at these spots.

The best thing to do is to wire a resistor right before the output transformer on the BT module where it connects to the antenna. This doesn't always work these days because they're printing the antenna right on the SoC now sometimes. But many BT radios have pins that go to an output where you'd have a transformer then the antenna. Some have the transformer in the chip, and no antenna inside, in which case you just put a resistor between the pin and the patch antenna on the PCB.

If you do this the signal is greatly attenuated (according to the value of the resistor) and you can make it so you can't use BT more than a few inches away from the thing, but still keep that capability for devices which might need it.

Another option if you have a system on chip where the BT is "inside" the chip entirely is literally just putting tinfoil with a few teeeeeny tiny holes poked in it over the chip on both sides of the PCB, that'll reduce the signal.

5G is a weapon, it's a radar, it's a surveillance net, it could possibly fry your brain if you got close enough to a transmitter. Beam forming is required for 5g.

It's already so small that it's ionizing to DNA. It can penetrate beneath the skin, to 5G waves the skin is barely even there. Hip cancers doubled from 2010 to 2020, they will quadruple by 2030 compared to 2020.

You see DNA is normally very robust when zipped together, secure enough to last millions of years in at least assemble-able fragments. But when it's unzipped that's when RF can knock an electron up or down the staircase and errors can be recorded, and propagated.

The old shill line of ionizing radiation is a red herring, it's all potentially ionizing, just depends on the wavelength and penetration.

For now the only thing you can do is use your phone on airplane mode at home on local wifi, and power it down when you sleep or leave it at least 6+ feet away from you.
