You can just do productive stuff for yourself, do work for yourself. Make it a full time job. Get up everyday, five days a week, and do something productive for 8 hours. Clean your residence, fix something, find something to do. If you do that long enough you will eventually run out of things to do and fix, and you'll have to invent some sort of business. If you do something productive, for your benefit and not a bossman's, everyday for 20 years, you will have more money than most wagies. My only advice in choosing a business is do something practical and do it well. You don't have to reinvent the wheel to be successful, you can just make really good wheels.

My impression of Bulgaria was that if you're willing to do anything beyond the bare minimum, that will give you a massive competitive advantage over the entire rest of the country.
The thinking man has been disconnected from his natural bond with the land and his crop. Through MANY means. If you refuse to grow and sell week for money. You will grow food to sustain yourself. That will not cover all of your modern expenses but it will keep you breathing another day. On good food that YOU cultivated. Find a desolate forest patch, a yard, some pots in the sun.. Every single man in this thread right now has this ingrained in him right now. That is what's so fucked up. Buy seeds. Most of them are gonna grow in your native region with minimal or no care. Potato, cucumber, carrot.. all underground and mostly protected. Plant what you can and it will taste of an accomplishment none of your food ever has. In your entire life, you have never been able to say you are self sustainable. Start by cultivating your own crops, feeding yourself and then see what else you can do.
