>>
>>542041221

The collpase will be a staircase like decline until the ecnomy eventually disintegrate.

""Peak Demand Theory, in this sense, is a demand-destruction reading of peak oil rather than Hubbert’s original picture of production peaking and prices then staying high. Classic peak-oil theory treats the limit as geological: output follows a bell curve, scarcity arrives, and the oil price spikes and remains elevated. The demand-side version says that does not happen, because a price high enough to pay for costly remaining oil also functions as a tax on the rest of the economy: industry contracts, credit and wages buckle, and oil use collapses with the recession, so the price falls. That drop is temporary. When growth resumes, demand returns, the price is driven back up against the same affordability ceiling, and another contraction follows. Each cycle tends to reset activity at a lower level than the last a downward spiral or descending staircase, because cheaper oil has already been used and each rebound hits the cost wall sooner. The binding constraint is therefore not “running out of oil” or a permanently high price, but the economy’s inability to afford the oil that is left.""

That's like saying what happens when we run out of dirt or water. Sure we can damage a lot of things, but there will be oil with or without us. It's part of the earth like granite. Most oil deposits near the surface are just old garbage dumps of "recycled" plastic from civilizations past. Heat, pressure, and millions of years work wonders.

Magic.

>>542042049
No. Most fossil fuels we use come from the Carboniferous Age 300 million years ago. This age was unique because bacteria had yet to be able to break down dead plant fiber matter. So dead plants and tree mass didnt rot as they do now. This layer of carbon stacked up and became trapped under ground where pressure and heat broke it down into elemental hydrocarbons.

Modern forest cannot turn into coal or oil because bacteria and fungus will break themdown before they can fully fossilized in large masses to be turned into coal or oil.

TPTB will then blame Iran and lack of support from our allies as the reason for not only the energy shortages/rationing but also the stock market crash. They engineered this to happen. They will then do a giant fear mongering campaign to create manufactured consent to install their predetermined solutions such as the great taking where they take everyone's shit that has any amount of debt attached to it and use it as collateral to financialize as backing for the CBDC that they want to roll out. The only way out of this is if people are loud and visible enough to where the media headlines are blatantly false to everyone. They will be moving very quickly once the trouble really starts as they intentionally done everything they could to make it as explosive as possible.
>>

It's funny how retarded people are and how short sighted they are. Everyone has an interest in oil because it lets them drive their fucking retarded stupid car around for no reason an do stupid shit all day. People waste the oil on being retards but then you look around and what uses oil. All the food trucks, chainsaws, lawn mowers, trimmers, electric generators, pressure washers, all the farm equipment, everything in construction.
When oil is done, it's fucking over. Some electric shit exists but it's not even comparable. The cost to cut down a tree will go up 100000%. Not a single lawn is going to get mowed and it will all be overgrown. Worst of all will be food production. 99% of the population would starve if oil disappeared.
Meanwhile you are driving your faggot truck to buy microwave din dins from a gas station.
>>
>>542044135
Still pointless. Just use hydrogen directly.

I prefer hydrogen to batteries not because its more convenient, but because the supply chain is very short. If we go with batteries China will rule us since they own all the rare earth material mining. Hydrogen can be manufactured locally. Even at the refuel station. You just need electricity. Using nuke power plants is where electricity should come from.
>>
>>542040308
>what happens when oil runs out?

nothing, just get more oil
>>
>>542044329
You dont understand what I am saying. Use wave turbine generators to provide the electricity needed to then turn the sea water into hydrogen to use as fuel. If you want to use hydrogen directly, you must first produce the hydrogen. What you are trying to get at is having hydrogen available in places that do not have access to the ocean, then yes, nuclear, solar, wind to generate the hydrogen.

Yes, the secret is to harvest the deuterium and uranium from the ocean water. It's not actually rocket science. Or if you want to be green, incinerate every living thing in the ocean for its bio energy.

>>542044836
The problem with hydrogen is containment. Because its literally the smallest atom, it can pass through all solid matter containment vessels. You can't store it like oil long-term because it eventually "evaporates". So long term storge and transport will have a certain amount of loss.

Energy production in general should be decentralized per building and household when able. That was the orignal dream of Thomas Edison. AC current allowed tor centralized electric production. But that centralized control system is breaking down at multiple levels.

People are so stupid, thinking technology will just dissipate. It didn't dissipate even in the middle ages. What goes missing is know-how. Across the world a bunch of tech practices will be lost with demographic decline, but the tech that remains will continue to improve. Weaponry for instance is going nowhere. Also core tech like desalinization, mining, nuclear, solar, hydro will stay. Chip production might take a huge setback if supply routes are disrupted and the market collapses, but not disappear. The next 50 years are about which countries fail to remain as 1st world and which push through. Follow the money I would say, but Dubai proved even that has been co-opted

The Public Utilities Act of 1935 doomed the trolley and interurban systems because almost all of them were also power companies. The act forced the power companies to divest their transit holdings, at which point the shared electrical infrastructure became a liability to the transit lines. This ended most of the interurbans and set the stage for the National City Lines takeovers.

>Modern forest cannot turn into coal or oil because bacteria and fungus will break themdown
It's my understanding that most oil and gas reserves are from peat, sloughs and swamps, where the bacteria and fungus don't have that effect.
The simple fact is, we've used up the easy oil, we're destroying the environment (and society) in our efforts to get the hard oil, and no matter what, demand is never going to come down to a level where supply meets it.
Hence why a severe and rapid decline in human population is a very logical solution to the problem this society is facing.

oil never truly runs out
well oil production itself
digging up oil from the ground can certainly run out
but you can always make new oil from plants
it's more expensive though

if we exclude environmental reasons
and assume you would always try to dig up as much as possible
there will be, at some point, an equilibrium
because easy / cheap oil location run out and you're left with more expensive oil rigs
-> consumption goes down because too expensive
-> other means of getting oil get more attention
so most likely oil demand just goes down
