So glad I'm on the geopolitical lay opposite side to these people, it's great being part of the civilisation where all the imaginary money is hoarded by a tiny majority and what little money we do get is taxed to the hilt to pay for a foreign invasion, instead of the civilisation that builds infrastructure.

That's not entirely accurate.
They're building infrastructure for the Iranians to fall back to to bait the Americans to attack.
Its the old "you better not blow up my assets parked in someone else's country" strategy.
What china hopes to do with this is earn the right to step into the war as a weapons supplier to the "resistance" in Iran.
They're trying to a vietnam part 3 trap for American to fall into.
However if some random retard like me can see it, then so can our friends at the Pentagon. Meaning if we "fall for it" know that it is by design

The track gauge is the distance between the two rails on the track. Most trains are designed for one track and can't switch to another (conversions are possible however. China's and most of Europe's track gauges are the same but a lot of ex-soviet countries use a different one because the Reds didn't want enemies to use the railways in an invasion.
In theory if you converted the ex-soviet railways to standard gauges (which would cost an insane amount of money), you could travel from Paris to Shanghai. You'd probably have to endure lots of train changes but it would be a kino trip.
As for resources, google OpenRailwayMaps.

They're doing everything short of staging an attack. I don't think that they have any confidence in their ability to take Taiwan. Taiwan's territories can be as close as a few miles from the Chinese mainland but it might as well be as wide as the Pacific when it comes to taking and holding the area. It's not that China is a paper tiger, it's a poorly drawn tiger by a drooling retard.

High speed rail sets high demands to the pristine condition of infrastructure. We have seen in a few incidents in Spain how tiny the margins are. If anyone with a little bit of resources, and a lot to gain, wanted to bring all rail traffic to a halt, it'd be easy to do. A single bridge takes years to build / fix.

China doesnt want war with america.
They want to deter us from getting involved if they invade Taiwan.
So degrading our missile forces is good for them, but not if it means sacrificing their ability to acquire oil from the middle east, of which iran is actually the smallest supplier.
