People equate "liberal" arts degrees with being "liberal", but that' because they're retarded. Even if college was mostly all liberal arts degrees, it's still a major net positive to society, because you have a population of people being trained in how to engage with many topics they may not be well-versed in and figuring out how to overcome that adversity.

Law and finance are good ways to make money but somewhat parasitic on the economy. MBAs decimate businesses and ruin companies. Then the degrees that don't matter which just saddle people with debt or qualify them to work in HR. Exposing the masses to stuff like Philosophy, Economics, or Political Science is probably a good thing since K-12 education in America sucks. The positives of universities outweigh the negatives since we would be worse off in a country or world with less technically educated people. We would be worse off if people were even dumber.I've had poorly educated people ask me how they power the reflectors on the side of the road. They passed high school. Trust me, people can be stupid. Especially since you basically just show up and graduate with a high school degree.
They are just a way to extract money from the working class and invest it in speculative markets further robbing the future from thier students
