Winning wars is easy for the US. But our objectives have always sucked as they rely on non-military shit like regime change or bringing democracy.

The objective was to remove Iraq from Kuwait, it did that and they never came back again.Even the 03 Iraq war you could nominally say was a win in that it did achieve its main objectives - remove saddam and the baathists and stop them from getting WMDs (which they never had lol but still the regime was permanently changed). The insurgency, ISIS war etc are more like splinter follow-up conflicts to the actual 03-04 campaign which achieved what it set out do to. Have the baathists returned to this day? No, so at least they turned out better than Afghanistan.
