After the procedure, the couple went for a massage, during which Ubiribo began experiencing chest pain and lost consciousness twice. He was then taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially responsive to the doctors’ questions. Ellen informed the medical staff about the injection, but before the doctors could complete the recommended CT scan, Ubiribo lost consciousness again.The hospital diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism and immediately transferred him to the intensive care unit. Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, he ultimately passed away in the early hours of March 6.A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom revealed the presence of material in Ubiriibo’s lungs that matched the substance used during the surgery. Based on this finding, Coroner Jane Harkin concluded that the cosmetic surgery directly caused the fatal embolism.
