>>542113549Some of the music before rap came along was alright. Even some of the rap was legitimately okay, mostly due to the heavy influence of parliament which was also pretty good and Black af. Honestly Black people were doing far better before the Civil Rights movement and the welfare state was established. Few people will probably agree but Jazz is legitimately good, it's actually a very high skill form of music unappreciated by most non-musicians because they don't understand what's happening. Black people developed the foundations for a lot of musical styles that gained mainstream popularity. Obviously they were using musical theory that was more or less all the product of White Europeans and used musical instruments that were invented by others. It's been a race to the bottom since the mid 1960s unfortunately resulting in the absolutely abysmal state of Black culture today, which is essentially just a glorification of the lowest human impulses, which would be bad enough if it were only them, but it's infesting everyone else, including White people sadly. It was obviously in someone's best interest to promote this state of affairs, and I think we all know whom that is.

Pro-white people always point to Bach, Mozart and Beethoven as proud cornerstones of the European heritage, and rightfully so. Dismissing the unique contributions from black musicians throughout history is unfair and intellectually dishonest. Yes, Scott Joplin is not on par with Beethoven, but he is still a significant part in the history of music as an artform.
