>Stalactite (Shizhongru 石钟乳), Purple Quartz (Zishiying 紫石英), White Quartz (Baishiying 白石英), processed Sulfur (Liuhuang 硫黄), and Red Kaolin clay (Chishizhi 赤石脂). and rice wine
>Consumed both medically and recreationaly all over ancient China for over 700 years
>It was basically MDMA/Ecstasy with very similar effects, and - if prepared with the original recipe and quantities, had a very low risk profile...
>No complex chemistry was needed, merely mixing the correct amounts of the base materials
>It was banned when the late Tang dynasty declare its war on drugs
>Interestingly and after much study, it becomes apparent that this was due to a. alterations to the original recipe (the original was very much non toxic) to include things like mercury, arsenic and b. impure/adulterated base materials
>midwits will go to wiki and llms and claim its so toxic and show reports based on the later adulterated versions (thel also claim the original had no euphoric effect, which it did)
>Unsure of its legality, i assume its prob legal outside of China.
>And every single substance used to make it is entirely legal and easily available to buy over the counter

Jannies gtfo, long lost ancient chinese ecstasy thats prob completely legal is a very political issue

Say thank you for your research based potato in the comment section. and your days will be filled with 如痴如醉.

>Phase 2: The Han Dynasty Standardization (Shanghan Lun)Zhang Zhongjing stripped the mystical elements from the formula to treat the devastating plagues of his era. His recipe, Zishi Hanshisan (Purple Mineral Cold-Food Powder), consisted of:Minerals: Fluorite (Purple Quartz), Amethyst, Quartz, Stalactite, Halloysite.Botanicals: Ginseng, Ginger, Cinnamon, Asarum (Wild Ginger), and other potent warming herbs.
>Phase 3: The Wei-Jin Elite Modification He Yan did not invent a completely new recipe; he removed or heavily altered the botanical ratios of Zhang Zhongjing's formula to increase the mineral load, seeking a faster, more explosive biological reaction.
>2. The Pharmacology of Euphoria: Why the Early/Original Formulations WorkedThe assertion that the euphoria was only the acute phase of heavy metal poisoning is scientifically inaccurate. Heavy metal poisoning (specifically from lead, arsenic, or mercury) causes cellular damage, peripheral neuropathy, and encephalopathy, which can cause delirium—but it does not produce the predictable, functional, hyper-focused, and highly aesthetic "brilliantly open" (shénmíng kāilǎng) state described consistently across hundreds of years of Wei-Jin poetry.

A recipe includes quantity. Otherwise it's just a list of ingredients, dipshit.
>>
>>542113867
Yeah okay.
... how do I prepare it?
'cause I'm not doing trial & error with shit like this, not unless colonialism is back and shitskins are cheap property again.

Dont be lazy. Its not that hard to find, besides, if i said it would destroy the mystery

It can seem a bit like that, i dont think actual clean mdma alters peoples sexuality tho. As for some of the other stuff thats sold as it/mixed with it, possibly.

No reports of this having such effect tho. Also likely sig milder. Prescribed mostly for a range of ailments for about seven centuries, inc lethargy, arthritis, cold limbs

That something was used for such a long period of time pretty routinely, and among many social classes in China suggests strongly that it was largely effective and safe in many cases (certain preparations).

It was the eventual introduction of new versions that did contain toxic materials that caused the ban later. Allot of llms will deny this and engage in guardrail disinfo - but when you look into it, the original version was relatively non toxic

Go fuck yourself.
> if i said it would destroy the mystery
Then why did you even bring it up? You went through the trouble of making a thread with an all caps subject, a wall of text, and an AI slop picture to preserve a mystery?

Not if you do it with chicks. Then it makes you a dude who gets pussy all night

get mineral poisoning and drunk on plum wine

I've been coming across stories of ancient Taoist practitioners who devote their lives to "cultivating pills" (炼丹). I was convinced they were working on the perfect recreational drug.

Being a hunter, I have sold bear paws to Chinese as for their traditional bullshit. I really don't care. I like money and I like hunting and as long as I get a tag to hunt a bear every few years. I do not mind getting a little extra cash. You know you don't need to go around advertising stuff like this but once you get into a market, you can buy and sell all the parts of the animals you hunt.
Always been part of my culture to use every part of an animal.
Maybe I am the red skin that sells buffalo cocks to your mom.

clean mdma increases emotional bonding, maxes out the aesthetic/romantic faculties, but pretty much kills the sex drive

>>542119591

I dont think it was intended as a recreational drug, that just sort of happened by accident

Nah. If you observe at the artwork, costume and poetry, it's evident the Tang Dynasty was decadent. I'm sure the men back then had plenty of indulgences.
>>
>>542122304

no it was created for medical purposes, it just happened to have a euphoric effect so became popular. Tang dynasty being decadent ? you could say that about any civilization beyond a certain point, once they develop enough surplus to support classes with leisure time and expendable income

I dont know about calling Tang society decedent relative to other dynasties tho. Among elites, scholars, wealthy merchants, somewhat. The society generally, pretty much a hyper confician fascist military state. General curfews in most cities,in practice some regions kind of exempt. Very ridged legal system.

Society on the whole i would say not decadent at all. Also large scale chattel slavery seems to breed decadence, very low slavery in china since the Han, while it was still huge in europe.

nor would i begrudge or consider people occasionally indulging in intoxicants necessarily a bad thing, provided its not dangerously toxic or overly addictive . the bible says wine is a blessing, in moderation, i would assume this applies to other psychoactive compounds of comparable risk profiles (so not things like cocaine, meth or heroin)

it is long since i have consumed alcohol or any mind altering thing. but i recall it can contribute to positive experiences as well as negative. the same with ecstasy, which i consider unique in its effect to emphasize the beauty of this world....despite certain dark realities

Idk but you niggers should try Blue Lotus either in extract form or you can infuse the whole pedals in wine. Egyptians and Romans used to achieve a state of ecstasy with the infused wine.
