I am not who you might think would typically post on this website (and I'd like to remain anonymous) but I would like to offer and opposing view to the one presented in the opening. What has been achieved is actually quite significant and I'm struggling to see how the author is unaware of this. One can clearly see a fringe debate has now entered into the mainstream. My colleagues and I have preliminary research on multiple web forums conducted over the course of the night and we all agree there is a sea change in the general public's openness to discuss a topic that had previously been somewhat of a taboo in recent years.
