how hard will the chinks rape the car industry?
>>
>>542147333
They can't innovate. They can only make high quality things for 10% of the cost.
>>
>>542147456

innovation is massively overrated, this is why china is MOGGING the USA in every way that counts.
>>
>>542147333
about as hard as they have raped any industry...........which is not at all. Anything made in China has a reputation whereas anything made in Germany has a reputation. Those were earned over time, not set by some campaign ad or stock fags trying to make money.
>>
>>542147333
It's one of their immediate strategic goals so we'll see how much countries let their markets be open for it. Always fun to see the propaganda of "man I want cheap cars, I want BYD" etc. Which is in itself fair but the dangers is that if China is allowed to get a monopoly they can then pretty much squeeze and raise the prices meaning you don't even get cheap cars anymore and now your industry and jobs is all gone and the value circulates in China rather than locally. It's kind of fun how the west is losing at their own game and there's only been efforts to keep the domestic population away from their foreign exploits so now most voters have no idea what's even going on.

>>
>>542147333
I dont know what has gotten into the BMW and Merc designers in the past two years but they couldn't do a better job at making their cars somehow look more Chinkshit than Chinkshit.
>>
>>542147456
They're innovating on EV batteries and AI right now. I'm sure there are some other areas I can't think off immediately, but a good deal of the recent innovation was kickstarted by Chinese academics leaving the US because of hostile environments.
Chuds would rather the disengenuous money-grubbing Jeets than the quiet Chinese.
>>
>>542147506
>every way that counts.
which is?

everything you'll name is based off western tech, companies, parts, and previous knowledge/research.
lol
>>
>>542147333
The chinks already raped it 40 years ago and they just slapped tariffs on them

>It's kind of fun how the west is losing at their own game
What game? White economies can't build advanced tech or cheap products or even basic raw materials. We are "finance" and "service" economies where people sit around all day typing into laptops and holding meetings and stonking the numbers. We put people who make actual things in jail.
>>
>>542147333
We will have to wait and see if the 8 year old factory workers can turn out some quality cars
>>
>>542147520
>Anything made in China has a reputation whereas anything made in Germany has a reputation

German manufacturers have been taking the piss for years, especially Mercedes. The Chinese have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Their battery technology is excellent.

>>542147618
It's a very good point you make and it'll probably get to that, but so many western (especially American) car makers have dropped the ball and just rested on laurels. In the USA they just gouge the fuck out of the local population and undermine foreign competition via lobbying instead of trying to make a better product. They deserve to get clobbered.
>>
>>542147618
>Always fun to see the propaganda of "man I want cheap cars, I want BYD" etc.
That's just what normal people who earn their money by working all day immediately think. The propaganda is against BYD.
>the dangers is that if China is allowed to get a monopoly they can then pretty much squeeze and raise the prices meaning you don't even get cheap cars anymore
Oh, you mean like western manufacturers are doing now?
>your industry and jobs is all gone
It's already gone. The few we have left are massively outweighed by the average consumers who desperately need affordable cars.
>It's kind of fun how the west is losing at their own game
The West's game has been to sent all the manufacturing jobs to China. This IS their game. Are you even human or an Americorp bot?
>>
>>542147618

Kek but seriously did anyone even bother to ask actual car buyers if they even WANT innovation? What happened to affordability?

Its also chinas stuff nut more quality line. They do both. For quality they slap made in germany
>>

it has a touch of american muscle car of late 60s, early 70s, lacking the elegance. it's what the boomer designers grew up to like, admittedly the best period to steal from.

>>
>>542147884
funny you say that. Why do you suppose the German manufacturers are getting worse? It's the same reason American manufacturers are a shell of their former selves. I used to be a huge GM guy. I've owned, and had family own, multiple chevy trucks that were problem free for hundreds of thousands of miles. If I were to buy a brand new truck today I wouldn't even consider a modern piece of shit GM vehicle. Their shit is made in Mexico and Asia and is complete and utter trash now. BMW and Merc are now using Asia and everything they make went to shit. So now we have Asia car manufacturers and guess where they are made? Asia. And they are going to have the exact same issues plaguing modern EU and NA vehicles because their parts are made in Asia or some other God-forsaken hellhole of a nation. When vehicles were made by some proud redneck in Georgia or Michigan or hell, even in Canada, they were built properly. When bmw and mercs were made by some uppity proud German perfectionist they were amazing feats of engineering. Nowadays we have some piece of shit in Mexico or India that couldn't measure the lash of a gear building vehicles that are sold for $60k+
>>
?
Not at all.
Chinks have never built a car.
They glue batteries in electric toys built for jeets but don’t sell them. The parking fields can be seen from space, poo.
China cannot build a car and never will, too many parts. Electric vehicles only.
China is a finance scam.
The only place shittier than china is india. Which isn’t saying much.
Superpoors with 70 iQ’s are feeding on legacy msm bullshit. Which is just part of finance scams and similar. That’s how they end up in deep shit like russia and india snd china all are.
Russia - lost war
China - economy fucked from scamming. Flooding
Indipoo - about to starve because ukraine and russia shut down each others harvests.and its a good thing. I hope you all die you are not human you’re the plague.
>>
literally not my problem

none of the plebs can actually afford a new german car unless you get daddy's money
I'll be stuck forever with my golf 7 and it does it's job driving me 4 hours when I need it
>>
>>542148271
True, great companies ran by engineers that gave a shit got taken over by accountants and finance types who know the price of everything and the value of nothing. All from an allergy to paying decent wages.
>>
>>542147456
Perhaps they will not come up with something new from scratch but they are really good at incremental improvements. Take a look at what they're doing with smartphones, smartphone cameras and batteries. Compare the highest spec iPhone vs the highest spec Oppo phone and you will see how the Chinese phone is absolutely mogging the "designed in California" product in every single regard.
I imagine that the same thing is happening with Chinese cars. People know the name BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and they think that these are the "latest and greatest" in terms of car technology. Then one day they will some Chery Tiggo or something that's half or even one-third the price of its competition and it has all the same things and a lot of them even better.

German manufactory are forced into making cars the buyers market doesn't want by EU regulations.

this is every industry right now. Video games are plagued by this and now the cannabis industry is even plagued by this. Quality and reputation mean nothing anymore, it's all about the shekels and stock market.

Fortunately for me I can grow my own cannabis and fix my own vehicles but I cannot create video games (yet) and I cannot legally create a vehicle from scratch. I just gotta sit back and enjoy the circus

The car industry deserves rape. The US industry was bailed out during the great recession because they were making unreliable junk that no one wanted to buy. They got propped back up and made nothing but luxury SUVs and luxury "trucks". Now you have a "work truck" with heated leather seats, quad cab, power everything, and a massive screen for a dashboard that is standard. The thing costs $65k+, and it's both priced and built for a retired boomer, not anyone with a job.
The global auto industry is selling poor man's transportation with luxury prices and accessories, because the primary consumer of vehicles is a wealthy retired boomer. China saw the entire bottom of the market has been ignored in favor of the retarded boomer with FOMO market, so they are flooding the world with cheap vehicles and showing the huge gaps being ignored by the modern economy. Modern governments and western industry are crying about this being unfair, but it was perfectly okay for them to chase profits from high-end consumers while ignoring everyone else.

Japs still make good cars. They have to or they bring shame upon their famery. The problem is the American auto cartel does not allow their more affordable options to be sold here. For example, if you want an affordable Toyota truck pic related isn't even an option and neither is the Hilux. You're forced to start with a $35K Tacoma which for Toyota is a mid range offering in the rest of the world.
>>
>>542147456
>They can't innovate
Cars are good enough since 2000. There is nothing new to innovate.
>>
>>542148698
New Tacomas and Tundras are trash, they swapped the tacoma v6 for a turbo 4 cylender, and they swapped the v8 in the tundra for a turbo v6. Those things pop at around 80-100k miles, almost like clockwork. The only good news is they get recalled constantly so you can wait a month for Toyota to swap your engine annually.
>>
chink cars have actually already taken over australia
honestly, they're the same quality as western cars. this is not a good thing, however they are priced much better.
The GWM Tank does interest me, I must admit. Seen a few around and they look alright.
>>
>>542148787
Maybe they're getting us back for the bombs. The rest of the world gets diesel Toyotas that aren't even available here.
>>
>>542147456

>>
>>542147333
The so called American free market has taken measures to stop Chinese cars entering their market, so domestically there they will be fine.
As for Europe and my own nation, I feel as though Chinese EVs are very common. I have 5 BYDs down my road and only 2 Teslas. Rest of the cars are a mix of Ford, Vauxhall, Peugeot, Hyundai and Toyotas.
>>
>>542147456

EVs are useless outside developed urban areas due to lack of infrastructure (charging stations). ICE dominates and will dominate the world for a long long time simply because it's too practical to be abandoned

sort of but not really. The sedans are decent but the trucks are still trash. Toyota trucks USED to be solid but the last generation has been absolute trash. Nissan trucks have been an absolute joke for a while now though to be fair I have not messed with any modern nissan truck. I recall my friend's dad buying this really nice Nissan Titan with the bigass engine and all the goodies for towing his fishing boat and in the first trip out to the lake the piece of shit kept overheating the transmission. Maybe 3,000-4,000 lbs basic ass single axle fishing boat was too much for it. Meanwhile my 20 year old silverado hauls my 16 foot enclosed cargo trailer with two bigass ATVs, camping gear, grill, and coolers of beer and meat perfectly fine without any issues at all. I towed that shit on a 90 freedom degree day, fully loaded, AC blasting, cruise control at 75mph for 100+ miles, 2 very large dudes and I didn't see my tranny temp go above 190* freedom or my engine temps above 215*. The truck gave zero fucks even with only 4 fucking gears in the transmission. My dad's newish Yukon already blew a fucking transmission with less than 130k on the odometer and that piece of shit has like 8 or 10 gears that CONSTANTLY fucking change. Shit costed like 6k to fix.

Next truck will probably be a Toyota, Ford with the 5 liter v8, or old used truck in good condition that I can fix up.

Can only. Dude I worked in manufacturing for a decade. They mog us on it. Luckily per capita we mog the shit out of them for manufacturing think us in the usa are #5 in the world, china is like #40.

This. China has a pretty direct link to their big companies and can make them act any way they want. They will subsidize them to hell if they get over here so our domestic manufacturing is gone then jack up the prices.
>>
>>542147333
There's a hilarious video on twitter about how Russians were getting paralyzed by spinal fractures in even low-speed collisions in their new Chinese cars. The video shows someone pushing on the uppermost part of a car seat, and the seat folds backwards under light pressure. So the Russians were getting into a low speed collision and then their Chinese car seat folds back and leaves their body and head completely unsupported in the crash.

Fucking amazing design. Like, how did the Chinkazoids even come up with that? Did they hire Ukrainian engineers to design that for the Russian market?
>>
>>542150848
you're acting as if both european and us carmakers aren't getting massive handouts from the government

also the low chink car prices are primarily caused by a massive marketshare war happening within china right now, not by government subsidies.
>>
>>542147333
>copy protected IP
>get banned from international market places
>retarded multinationals keep using your country because its a corrupt shithole
>western governments keep seething that you gape them with industrial espionage while simultaneously accepting your bribes, hookers and blow
>get lucrative contracts with these governments
>rape them with overpriced and defective systems that they are now obligated to buy from you for the next 10,000 years
Its not a question of what China will do, its a question of how retarded are the goyim and when will the executions begin?
>>
>>542147333
After 2011 cars should be illegal because they have a remote control computer in them which can activate at any time and steer you into an accident.
>>
>>542151040
Oh they do get handouts but they are generally left to their own accords since they are private companies and only answer to shareholders. Bottom line of Chinese companies is that they HAVE to swear fealty to CCP to do business.
>>
>>542149332
haha true.
>>
>>542147456
I get your joke but seriously, what does the car industry need innovation for as of today? Cars have power steering, automatic gear switching, seat/steering heaters/dual AC for all passagers/space/durability/antilock/hybrid/full EV...... All I want is a car with good quality parts with good quality engineering and build, AC, and a standard gearbox, that's it, I don't expect anything more from a car. I don't want it to run 400mph in the hands of a f1 driver, nor do I care if the window pane is lgbt friendly or the leather is synthetic or real or if it'd run on the moon or not. Whatever cheapest material without dropping a reasonable level of build quality and robustness is all I want out of a car.
