Because they hold a fundamentally flawed idea that billionaires have somehow erroneously "stolen" their wealth, and that by having that wealth they are preventing others from having it.The reality is they have generated the wealth through production, commerce and trade. In reality, if you liquidated and seized 100% of the wealth of the world’s 1,000 richest people, you would get enough money to run the US government in it’s current state for about 1 year.

This is means on averfage they live better lives then most Western Europeans and North Americans.

Yet they have as much money as Toyota. They contribute very little to Japanese society, yes they provide a lot of services to society, but their net outflow of money to society is minimal. Some of their greatest investors are middle eastern foreign wealth funds so money gets syphoned off from Japan to them. Their gratest assets like ARM are being used to manufacture chips in Taiwan and South Korea. They're making Datacenters in the US and EU. They invested 20 billion dollars into Open AI. None of this translates into wages for the Japanese people and job opportunities for the Japanese people. In fact Softbank would rather go and open companies anywhere but Japan because Japan was expensive SoftBank Ventures Asia made 250 companies in 10 Asian countries.
