Why has useful technology stopped moving forward in 2019? All we have now is the same shit but with more spying and more bloat.
>>542163234I just got the DJI mic mini 2 and am pretty impressed with the cost and portability
>>542163234>in 2019It stopped in the early 2000s. Enshittification (yes the introduction of Steve Jobs' iPhone itself, was part of enshittification) is a thing

>>542164035>>542163234we stopped developing nuclear propulsion in the late 60s right at the finish lineif it wasn't for computers/internet you could say we've been going downhill technologically since then
It fell into the hands of people that want to climb a corporate ladder and get a cushy job.We need to build new ladders.
Taco bell. Hear me out. Taco bell menu is all the same goyslop, same ingredients remixed in different ways to mske you think it's a new item on the menu. It's still just tortilla, lettuce, cheese, and meat. Some flat, some curved, etc. But it's the same shit in a different shape. So too with modern devices, same components, different shell to make you think it's different. I ordered a 100 dollar blender because the 30 dollar one was shit and broke, the new one was IDENTICAL IN EVERY RESPECT, exact same components, i mean exact. Same with 3d printers, it's a stepper motor and a threaded rod, same rod every time, never a thicker one that won't flex, never a finer pitch thread, never a better motor, nope just taco bell. Same parts on a different frame, frame made with the same extruded aluminum, same thickness as before, still as shitty as before, sloppy movement, subject to vibration. The hotend is the same, the thermistor the same, etc. No improvement for 15 years. To get something better tou need BETTER COMPONENTS DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED DIFFERENTLY WITH HIGHER QUALITY AND MORE CARE. We call that NEW TECHNOLOGY. but that doesn't exist anymore because everyone gets their parts from the same suppliers in china so it's more of the same, but now the tacos cost more, because inflation.
>>542163234AI is genuinely new and useful though even though it's hyped to hell

>>542165279AI is genuinely new and useful but theyre ruining it
>>542163234Shareholders realized that they do not need to innovate, just scam people.
>>542163234but we are much more diverse bigot
>>542165279AI is new but it is useful only to investors watching the line go up.
>>542163234consider the old adage>give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for life.now consider the reality of the situation>give a man a fish he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish he will fish up your whole river and eat all the fish. Now consider how that might apply to technology.

>>542163234>firearms are a stable technology you dumb polack kek
>>542164686It didn't stop it just went classified and moved underground, there have been all kinds of breakthrough advancements made in the last century but the only things being allowed out to the public are things kikes can use to abuse/control everyone.
>>542163234Combustion engines. Civilized humanity poured trillions of dollars and countless man hours perfecting this triumph of industrial artistry all to surrender it to an electric appliance.
>>542163234Exponential growth and diminishing returns. We just need new breakthroughs.
