You guys probably aren't aware of this, but there are some new shenanigans going on, at least in Europe. I'm not sure on the details of the tech, but at least the Finnish government is experimenting on people nonvoluntarily, using probably the following key points: - smart dust (nanotechnology; in the spirit of Neuralink, especially in terms of getting linguistic input and output as you'd control an artificial arm or use the kinds of computer speech inputs they've been developing for disabled people, only this time, they also completely take over your experiential space with a high-pitched squeal, speech and visual stimulation, not to mention motor inputs, which can get pretty disturbing) - AI (to produce a consistent stream of linguistic and visual input for the brain to process into hallucination -like experiences, and to handle the amount of input and output data) - what's called persuasive technology (although this is clearly on the side of coercion, since what they are doing is essentially behavioural control, ideological brainwashing of sorts and a complex form of nudging, using both deep fears and pleasure to manipulate the subject)What they do is that they first tell you is a total fabrication about who is behind it and what is happening, in conjunction with a calibration period, followed by driving you down a deeply stressful period that resembles forceful interrogation that can involve constant sleep deprivation, making you believe all kinds of insane things about what is going on and doing whatever, such as driving you to make rash decisions that you would normally make (in my case, it was about coercing me to move out and drop out of my university education program in tech). Then, comes a much longer period where they experiment with ideological coercion and a kind of brainwashing. I have to emphasize that this is the digital panopticon in action, but it doesn't operate based on an outer surveillance system, but once placed within the brain.
It's capable of forcing bodily movement, which can get very disturbing. It is currently more difficult to find information about the former.This kind of technology is fundamentally anti-human and anti-democracy, as one might understand, considering the surveillance impacts that it could have if ever directed at key figures within a democratic system. Opposing party leaders could be coerced into making decisions they would never otherwise make, without anyone believing if they told about what was going on, because it would no doubt be summed up as mental illness. In fact, the method was most likely developed so that it would be confused for schizophrenia or something along those lines. Developing this technology has to be brought to a halt. It is the ultimate surveillance tool, if used against valuable targets, not to mention conditioning individuals into making different choices.
Seriously, imagine this kind of thing being targeted at political leaders. It's no joke. They could undo democratic systems from the ground up, in a completely clandestine manner. I'm not sure if this is about surveillance, espionage, developing new drone control technology or brainwashing (perhaps one might imagine a completely unethical deradicalization program being one of the potential uses), probably all of these things, frankly, but the existence of the nanotech alone is a danger humanity on the whole. If you do anything to provoke this kind of treatment directed at you, you will have no defense against it, especially in such a digital world. All of your passwords, taken. Every device, hacked. Every planned attempt at overcoming the situation, surveilled beforehand and countered long before you can get anything useful done, just about. Not to mention that the fact they're doing this to unwilling participants is a sign of the risk factors involved. I know for a fact that it definitely hampers your ability to commit to long-term planning, formulating your own ideas, remembering things, etc., because of the constant lingual barrage that is a constant "companion". It's like undoing the undesirables if people get out of line ideologically. Imagine local thought-leaders against the current power structure and their cynical games being brought to heel, especially in the current climate. Small alterations to your thought processed here and there, but consistently and with the awareness of the fact being a feature of the coercion.

The human parts have a more coherent structrure, whereas much of the time is spent being in contact with what resembles an LLM, only you're getting unprompted text and visual imagery projected into your mind. There are also layers that only become more visible if you close your eyes long enough. At first the images may be unclear, but become far more vivid as you pay attention to them. The entire setting carries a very relevant implicit logic, when it comes to combatting it. Awareness of the brainwashing and the means seems to be key to remaining yourself as much as possible. You have to be able to deconstruct the social setting analytically or you're at their whim. Some aspects of it are more difficult to reject because they act on your subconscious, and your body, quite literally, which in turn has an effect on your subconscious. Successful resistance is possible if you can reach a very aberrant mindset, but most people probably wouldn't go to it. I'm not sure if I'll last with my own opinions and outlooks entirely or forever, since a person is subject to change over time no matter what, but I can at least try to compartmentalize the situation in a way that helps me remember what and how I actually think.

But based on the fact that Neuralink involves nanotech and this has been going on for such a long time, and the fac that introducing the devices would have been nigh impossible without involving something like smart dust, it must have been nanotechnology of some sort or in that range when it comes to the size of the devices.
