Anons do you own the jewbox box?216,000,000 Spy TVs | The LG Smart TV Problem The LG Smart TVs we've tested have first-party ACR (automatic content recognition) functionality that can pry into your personal life with greater precision than you might realize, with LG Ad Solutions' executives and leadership saying, on camera, that LG "owns the glass." Not you -- even though you bought it -- but them. They also talk about knowing everybody in the household, knowing the secondary devices, moving from TVs to smartphones and other screens, and more in their B2B discussions. Beyond just the fact that we think the TV's native behavior parallels malware, the LG Smart TVs we tested also have a number of security vulnerabilities that can be exploited to convert the TVs into covert listening devices. In this investigation, we dive into the mix of LG's first-party functionality that (in our opinions) is tantamount to spying and LG's vulnerabilities and exploits that they have failed to protect against.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IFVTcM28KA
Tech companies be like I HAVE TO WATCH YOU JACK OFF
>>542171677No talmudvision in my home. Or any "smart" appliance.
>>542171677I have 3 LG tvs purchased between 2018 and 2022, how fucked am I?
>>542171677I don't own any TVs or "smart" appliances. My phone is on aeroplane mode the majority of the time.
>>542173009this except 1, but it's the one i'm always in the room with
My last tv was a big ol' cathode ray unit, and that was almost 20 years ago. I just use my computer to watch pirated content these days.
If your TV is not connected to wifi can they still track you?
>>542173702Not until 6G. Of course they'll embed it into everything.https://www.qualcomm.com/research/6g/faqs
>>542173810You can already connect a smart TV to 5g or 4g internet. 6G isn't going to change anything it's not like the US is going to ever have affordable mobile Internet let alone free.
>>542173009Same, mine arnt smart though and were budget models.
>>542173702all of the tracking stuff is still running and being saved. The problem isn't your wifi, it's some retard having passwordless hotspot on their phone 24/7 walking past your house and the TV auto connects to that.
>>542171677My solution: not buying LG ever.No TV, no PC monitor, no fridge, nothing.I can afford all of that and even every year anew if I wanted.Seems like they don't need my noney.Simple as.
>>542173009We know everything Carl
>>542174671Yeah
I own a chinese one with pirated movies
>he bought Smart or IoT device
>>542171677Okay, so assuming you are retarded enough to buy a ""smart"" tv, if you don't give it wifi access, and you unplug it when your boomer parents end their visit, which is the only time when you would have some use for such thing, how exactly is it going to do all that?
FUCK, now they know the size of my dick...
>>542171677before the electric jew, there was the book jew
>>542171677>WE OWN THE GLASS
>buying a goyvision of any kindyou seriously still watch tv? or are you a console peasant? yikerino
I bought the LG tv but never accepted the TOS. It keeps asking about it but I just press "later" every time.
>>542174482>>542173810what if your WIFI is turned off? its a pretty easy feature to disable in on LGs. i really don't want to give up on these TVs the 83in OLED is the greatest TV i've ever owned.
>>542177682looking a little tubby there marcinek
>>542177788This is not my picture
It's just a nice side effect desu.>make up bullshit capabilities to try to sell your 'ad data' to large firms>sperg journalists run your sales pitch as a conspiracy-type story>clients hear about this and go oho...looks good to me>meanwhile, the tech leads to no extra sales, and does nothing of value whatsoeverThis happens/happened very frequently.
>>542177523Books are far likely to be less Jewed than TV, and far more enriching, if you're reading the old stuff. >>542177764>thinking that Jewish backdoors in your TV will shut off when you ask them to, while not knowing that smart appliances have microphones and cameras and many other ways to connect to stuff. Why would anybody even want one of these? There's nothing worth watching! If you want to shut the kids up then put them on bikes and throw them the fuck outside or get them into retro gaming.
>>542177764I wouldn't trust the TV to honor wifi off, it could reboot itself whenever and auto turn on wifi when it comes back. I have a C5, I did this whole workaround thing to sideload apps and it still factory reset itself twice, even with the dev mode timer constantly reset. Each start had it scanning wifi ssids and it would auto connect to my smart bulbs and other shit brodcasting ssids. What's better is to block the mac address from accessing internet and connecting your tv to your wifi or over ethernet. Android based TV OS will auto connect to other ssids if the current one has no internet access but I haven't seen my LG TV do that (yet). Also ethernet is 10/100 not gigabit. If you're streaming movies to the tv or something you should use wifi. It's criminal that a $2000 TV has 10/100 ethernet.
>>542171677>Wifi router tracks movements throughout home>Phone constantly tracks movement throughout cells outside, dead-zones shrinking by the day>Flock cameras track your every movement to be stored and reviewed by AI>TV records audio/video from your living room, picks up on speech to target you with ads>Data centers springing up to store all this accumulated data on (you), foreverI'm surely missing some additional panopticon tools, these aren't all of them for sure.
>>542178941>Wifi router tracks movements throughout homeWifi needs triangulation to track you in your house. If you have a mesh network you're in trouble, if not you're probably fine unless you see unmarked vans with satellite dishes outside your house.>Data centers springing up to store all this accumulated data on (you), foreverThey don't need more data centers to do that. The rest is accurate, you're just missing roombas mapping people's houses, the push for sheetrock insulation and more windows (better for cellular penetration), mesh wifi, camera doorbell mesh networks, and the totally organic slew of indoor security camera footage to make it feel normal.
>>542171677Why are south Koreans like this? In a way they seem worst then North Korea. They are not much different. Just different sides of the same coin
