This is the exact same argument as the Lindsay Clancy supporters, they argue that it's not her fault she killed her kids (in other words did something stupid), it's just making excuses to take away accountability and personal agency from the equation.
Weed did not make you stupid, or lazy, or unsuccessful. You are just stupid and lazy. Weed gave you an excuse and something to blame it on, but I don't believe for a second that it causes laziness or stupidity. The reason I know that for a fact is because I'm the smartest and most locked in person I know and I'm high on weed right now.
