What slowdown?
Go ahead, explain yourself, I'll wait.
There has been no slowdown.
You same retards are the same kinds of retards that say videogame graphics have "slowed down" as well, when they have been constantly improving the entire fucking time.
The jump from 2D to wonky 3D to superior 3D was only more noticeable, but it most certainly didn't fucking plataeu.
Models have become way higher fidelity, textures way higher resolutions, we got vasty superior physics on said models, we got better lighting systems, then even better lighting systems, then we even got a hack towards decent realtime raytracing that massively limited the need to do full scenes.
Then we got the current shitty mess with those fucking retards at Nvidya forcing their AI generated frames and smeared garbage.
But at no point has anything slowed down.
The same is true in AI.
They've been increasingly getting better at handling external tools and services.
They have used synthetic data to boost understanding of under-represented data, improving their ability to understand language nuances.
Their ability to fit outputs better has improved as well.
They have massively cut the costs to run at least 3 times in recent years.
Massive models can run on gaming machines from years ago now. Shit some of them can even run on a fucking Raspberry Pi 5 and Smartphones with moderately decent speeds, not blazing fast like hosted services or a beefy GPU, but useable.
Heuristic systems to optimize memory tokens in conversations has resulted in dropped costs as well, as well as speedier outputs.

Only a midwit would say there has been slowdown.

I have no doubt this system will become vastly better within a year, definitely by two.
A major advantage with this system is it isn't making a single-layer image or video, this is actual model geometry you can edit in post.
It is now at the same level text-gen was in regards of editing it, be it writing or code.
Makes me wonder if that one great that were trying to make a model to output multi-layer PSDs will just give up on it.
This system a couple iterations down the line will be vastly superior for pro workflows compared to image-gen one-shots and inpainting nonsense.

What they did with astra is baked every single shit they took from internet and are using assets to make best guestimate, its not going to work in field that requries absolute precision.
This is not coding where making model that behaves like ctrl+c crtl+v le jeet codemonkeys is going to work.
And even if you take a week to do this shit, 100% you will end up way cheaper and way better
Precision is killer of LLMs and i cant fucking explaint to midwits that are completely sidefucked by AI enabling them to larp as nonmidwits

Not the point. The fact that chatGPT took control of Blender and made that within the span of an hour or so is what's impressive. When it use to generate images in older versions of ChatGPT, it would just create a description and send it to Dall-e, or some other image generator like that. This is creating the models/ images directly from paint or blender. This is just the first generation of this model.
