Aircraft carriers are vulnerable now and it's a good thing. Not ONE TIME has a carrier defended the US mainland, even in WWII they were out to sea during the Pearl Harbor attack.
Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Iran were all wars for empire and Zionist.

Why would a carrier defend the US mainland when the mainland has the airforce...

>the navy is overseas
You don't fucking say
>>
theyre just for power projection, they serve no functional purpose

Exactly. I used to idolize navy pilots and shit due to Hollywood movies but I've come to accept it was all phycological conditioning. For instance, producer (((Jerry Bruckheimer)) claimed to have been inspired by stumbled upon an article on the Top Gun school
>The primary inspiration for the film was the article "Top Guns" by Ehud Yonay, from the May 1983 issue of California magazine, coinciding with Israel influencing President Reagan to war against Libya.
Then there's Top Gun Maverick, obviously propaganda for a planned war on Iran.
Oy very good goy

Drone tech has rendered them obsolete

maybe the real aircraft carrier was the america you made along the way

The next carriers will be drone carriers.
China was already working on one.
I think even a flying one has been in the works by someone if I remember right.
But in both cases they'd be vulnerable.
I think if you were to really be stealthy you'd make some sort of small plane carrier, enough to carry a handful of drones to do some missions and come back to recharge.
They'd have enough fuel to charge at least a handful of times, then fly the whole thing back.
If it got blown to bits, oh well, send in another one.
As the drone warfare has shown, mass producing very expendable hardware is a valid tactic.
You could literally mass-produce a bunch of tanks made out of wood and send them in to battlefields purely to look intimidating, same shit works.

Starship is the aircraft carrier's replacement.

>>542214405
drone zeppelins would be pretty cool desu
>>
>>542214630
They'd look cool but they're even more vulnerable than aircraft carriers. On the plus side, they are far less expensive.

The US Air Force has had drone carriers for about a decade. They're still somewhat experimental since they've never really been tested in an active conflict. It does reverse the roles with the Navy a bit, since the Navy has long been the second largest air force in the world. Now the Air Force could end up being the second largest navy in the world should they aggressively expand use of drone carriers.
Many other countries are also building drone carriers, as they are far less capital intensive. Going forward, manufacturing capability might be the deciding factor. Much has been said about the US giving away its manufacturing capabilities to China, but the US is still the second largest manufacturer in the world.

Did anyone tell Khomeini or Maduro? That information seems relevant to them.
>>
During Pearl Harbor the carriers were ferrying aircraft to Wake and Midway. They were in fact defending US soil, just not in combat.

Implessive…
